And what things will be added? The Book of Haggai helps us understand. In chapter one we learn that God’s people were released from captivity, when Persia invaded and defeated Babylon. As the small remnant returned to Jerusalem, they were instructed, and given provision to rebuild the Temple. But after starting construction and facing opposition, the work stopped. For 16 years. But during that time, the people, went on with their lives, pursued wealth, build lavish homes, then God breaks the silence by and points out the obvious in Haggai 1:9 “My house that lies in ruins, while each of you busies himself with his own house.” You see, they weren’t seeking first the kingdom of God… they were too busy building up their own kingdom. Their priorities were all wrong. Jesus sets things straight. To seek first the kingdom of God means that our salvation, our relationship with God, is always our first priority. And anything that threatens to come in-between us and God, is not an opportunity to consider… an obstacle to avoid. To seek his righteousness means that, the decisions we make, the way we order our priorities, the value we give everything in our lives, is in agreement and in obedience to God’s ways, and his instructions. And when we live life like that, the promise of, “and all these things will be added to you,” is God’s guarantee that He will supply all that we need. The things we truly need, in the timing we truly need them. Remember, you’re not stronger than God. You can’t provide more security than God. You can’t out give God. So put God first. Trust His word. He will be your strength. He will provide your security, He will supply all that you need. So, consider this. In Jeremiah chapter 41, there is a small group of Jewish survivors who have just escaped the destruction of Jerusalem, and an attempted abduction by the Ammonites. After all that, verse 17 is says: “And they went and stayed at Geruth Chimham near Bethlehem, intending to go to Egypt.” This remnant faced a decision. Stay near Bethlehem to rebuild, or go to Egypt in hopes of safety. Chapter 42 tells us, they made the wrong decision, quickly, against God’s word, against Jeremiahs counsel, and against God’s will for them. For that, they suffered dearly for that wrong choice. Learning from their bad decision making. Here’s a better, biblical decision making process: Five Steps: First Pause - Proverbs 19:2 Desire without knowledge is not good, and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way. Avoid making a fast decisions. Pause. Get the Facts. And examine the possible outcomes of all the options. Second Read - Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. When facing a decision, Get God’s Take, see what the Bible has to say about it. Third Ask – Proverbs 15:22 Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed. Ask advice from a reliable sources. It could be a friend, parent, or pastor. Forth Yield – Luke 22:42 “not my will, but yours, be done.” Jesus, spoke those words giving us a principle to follow. Our will needs to yield to God’s will. Because God’s directions is always the best direction. Pause. Read. Ask. Yield. The fifth step is a part of every step, and that’s PRAY. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 - Pray without ceasing. As you Pause, pray. As you Read, pray. As you Ask, pray. And as you Yield, pray. When facing a difficult decision, remember the acronym: P.R.A.Y. That’s todays Bible Munch.

You’ll discover that tithing may not be what you though, and we’ll look at why the Lord loves a cheerful giver. Key Verse: *** Key Verse: Malachi 3:8 Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions. *** Tithing in the New Testament: Mark 12:41–44 41 And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. 42 And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. 43 And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. 44 For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.” Acts 2:44–45 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 1 Corinthians 9:14 14 In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel. 1 Corinthians 16:2 2 On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come. 2 Corinthians 9:7 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. *** Related Videos: What is the Unforgivable Sin? – Is Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit the Unpardonable Sin? https://youtu.be/inpYMOfVQv4?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-jYp24sLIN5R-m5glzTwJJO 3 False "Bible Quotes" Christians Believe | Acts 17:11 Bible Devotional | Christian YouTuber https://youtu.be/o8rm5Wz4frk?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-jJB_LDsA9TnIMJrFsSPoOM God’s Will - How to know God's will | Acts 21:13 Bible Devotional | Christian YouTuber https://youtu.be/dmwqetYEvMs?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-jJB_LDsA9TnIMJrFsSPoOM *** Transcript: You work hard for your money right? But, when that plate is passed around at Church, the last thing you want - is to feel guilty, or pressured to give. So, what does the Bible actually say about Tithes and offering? And, what’s our responsibility today? In Malachi 3:8 it reads, Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions. That verse is often used to say that we are commanded to give 10%, which is what tithe means. So are we robbing God is we don’t tithe 10%? Not according to Old Testament. The Old Testament actually commands not one, but three different tithes. One tenth went to support the Priests, another tenth for sacred Festivals, and every three years, another tenth was collected to support Widows, Orphans, and the poor. Over three years that averages to, 23.3% a year. That was the Old Testament law. But, we are not in the Old Testament, right? So, what does tithing in the New Testament look like? 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. The New Testament never commands a specific amount to be given to the Church, instead it was a heart decision. What did that look like? It looked like generous love. Weekly collections were given to the Church, so the Gospel could go out. Jesus once saw a poor woman offer 100% of all she had, he commends her faith. Even when people didn’t have any money to give, they sold their stuff so that they could give. They gave out of love, not legalism. They gave because it pleased God. They gave because physical and eternal lives were on the line. They gave all they could, knowing God gave all he could to us, through Jesus. We should do the same. What is the Unforgivable Sin? – Is Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit the Unpardonable Sin?

02:12
What is the unforgivable sin? Is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit the unpardonable sin, and if so, have you committed it? Without understanding what Jesus was talking about when it comes to these questions, many Christians and even unbelievers wonder about what sin the Bible describes as unforgivable, or unpardonable. It can be a scary thought to think, that no matter what you say or do, no matter if you ask Jesus for forgiveness or not, that somehow, we are destine to Hell because we committed this unforgivable sin. In this Bible Munch Bible Study / Bible Devotional out of Mark 3, we’ll look at what Jesus was really teaching when it comes the unpardonable sin, and blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. *** Key Verse: Mark 3:29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin” *** Related Videos: The Way the Truth and The Life: Is the Narrow Road too Narrow Minded? | Jeremiah 6:16 Bible Study https://youtu.be/pEVCznwoKUI?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-goemb1lt3SSBR3iFDmhAz0 What is Repentance? - What Does Repent Mean? | Jeremiah 34:15-16 Devotional | Bible Study https://youtu.be/axbq0AICV9E?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-goemb1lt3SSBR3iFDmhAz0 What is sin, and why God disciplines those he loves. | Jeremiah 13:22 Devotional | Bible Study https://youtu.be/TMeD7evS3V8?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-goemb1lt3SSBR3iFDmhAz0 Have Faith in God - Trust in the Lord | Jeremiah 48:7 Devotional | Bible Study https://youtu.be/sjoc6F_yxpI?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-goemb1lt3SSBR3iFDmhAz0 *** SUBSCRIBE for new devotionals every Tuesday. https://www.youtube.com/user/BibleMunch?sub_confirmation=1 *** Connect Daily ► Facebook -- https://www.facebook.com/BibleMunch ► Twitter -- https://www.twitter.com/BibleMunch ► Instagram -- https://www.instagram.com/BibleMunch *** Transcript: Have you ever wonder if you committed the unforgivable sin? When I was younger, I remember reading Mark 3:29 – Which says, “but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin” After reading that, I was truly scared that I’ve might have blasphemed against the Holy Spirt, by some wayward thought or careless comment. Maybe you’ve wondered the same thing. or maybe you’re in fear right at this moment, thinking you’ve committed the unpardonable sin. Let me help you understand what Jesus is was talking about in Mark 3. Who he’s talking to, was the religious leaders, men who knew the word of God through and through. Men who should have easily seen that Jesus was not some ordinary guy, but that he fulfilled all the prophecies written about the coming messiah, the redeemer and savior of the world. But, even though God, through the Holy Spirt revealed the truth of Jesus to these men, still… they rejected the Holy Spirits work at clearly identifying who Jesus was, and instead, they repeated, and they would continue to repeat and believe that Jesus was not the Messiah. Saying he was possessed by a demon, was the Blasphemy against of the Holy Spirt. The continued rejection of Jesus, was the unpardonable sin. Today, the only way, someone could commit the Unforgivable sin, is to reject Jesus, and die in their sin. Because forgiveness of sin is only found in Jesus, if you reject him in this life, you can’t be forgiven in the next. Listen, you don’t need to worry if you’ve committed the unforgivable sin in the past. Instead, make sure you taken the opportunity to go to Jesus in repentance through faith, to receive eternal hope, and the forgiveness of any and all sins. That’s today's Bible Munch.

What is Repentance? - What Does Repent Mean? | Jeremiah 34:15-16 Devotional | Bible Study

02:05
Don't miss the next devotional! Subscribe Here: http://bit.ly/29qM6Wo What is repentance? What does repent mean? Most would say, repentance is to turn away from sin. That answer is not fully correct. Thankfully, the definition of repentance, and how to repent are clearly stated in the Bible. In this Bible study / devotional out of Jeremiah 34, we’ll look at and understand what true repentance, Biblical repentance, is. To find out what the Bible says about repentance, open your Bible and watch this video! *** Key Verse: Jeremiah 34:15-16 “You recently repented and did what was right in my eyes by proclaiming liberty, each to his neighbor, and you made a covenant before me in the house that is called by my name, but then you turned around and profaned my name.” *** Supporting Bible verses about Repentance: Psalm 97:10 O you who love the LORD, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Mark 1:14–15 Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” Matthew 3:8 Bear fruit in keeping with repentance. *** Related Videos: The Power of Prayer: God Answers Prayers | Ezra 2:64 Bible Devotional | Bible Study https://youtu.be/YEpu938qRIg?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-glvZZ8ExTydXK3JjPXqXdH Learned Helplessness – A Biblical Perspective | Psalm 10:14 Bible Devotional | Bible Study https://youtu.be/8-iW2tDqzhE?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-h81vYU2V_AzMRMQosK0Or8 WORDS - Biblical Words of Wisdom | Psalm 17:3 Bible Devotional | Bible Study https://youtu.be/eefgfkcqjoA?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-h81vYU2V_AzMRMQosK0Or8 *** SUBSCRIBE for new devotionals every Tuesday. https://www.youtube.com/user/BibleMunch?sub_confirmation=1 *** Connect Daily ► Facebook -- https://www.facebook.com/BibleMunch ► Twitter -- https://www.twitter.com/BibleMunch ► Instagram -- https://www.instagram.com/BibleMunch *** Transcript: When asked, what does repent mean, or what is repentance, most people will define repentance by saying it means, to turn from sin. While that’s an okay definition, it’s not a full biblical definition of repentance. For example, if you had a roommate who constantly stole your stuff, but every time you confronted them about they apologized, with tears and everything. But, still just a few days later you’d catch them again taking your stuff. Would you say that their repentance was real? Probably not. We see a scenario similar to that in, Jeremiah 34. The people gave God their word, but soon after turned right around and continue to do what they said they wouldn’t, and God judges them for it. Verses 15-16 read, “You recently repented and did what was right in my eyes… but then you turned around and profaned my name.” Repentance is more than saying I’m sorry. It’s more that feeling bad. It’s more than just turning from sin. The biblical definition of repentance means, “to change one’s mind.” Will-Power to stop and turn from sin just isn’t enough. To truly repent, God needs to change our mind about that sin. Psalm 97:10 “O you who love the LORD, hate evil!” True repentance happens when we see sin as God sees sin. How does he see it? As Evil. Rebellious. Prideful, Hurtful, and Hateful. Every time we choose to sin, we tell God, this sin fulfills me more than you do. What does it mean to repent, it’s to see sin, as God sees it. To hate sin, like God hates it. When we do, the action of turning from sin, to Jesus, is easy. If you’re struggling with sin, pray asking God to change the way you see that sin. That doesn’t sound right! I though God was Love, so why fear God? Well. The Fear of the Lord is a familiar phrase all throughout the Bible, it certainly doesn’t mean to be scared of God as if He is some unpredictable lose cannon. However, contrary to what some have been taught on the other side of the spectrum, the Fear of the Lord does not just mean to have a healthy respect for God. The fear of the Lord means so much more than either of those. Hebrews 12:28–29 offers a balanced perspective, saying “Let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.” When you teach young children about fire, you generally wouldn’t teach that fire is something only to be scared of… if you did, birthday parties, and camp fires would be a nightmare! No. Fire, when properly understood offers beauty like in a candle lit service, or great usefulness, like heating our homes, or cooking our meals. To Fear the Lord starts with understanding Him correctly. God is all powerful and all knowing. He is love, and he is judge. For an unbeliever, the eternal judgment of God for sin, is something to be genuinely afraid of. For the believer, remembering that God will lovingly discipline us, in order to teach and correct us when we wander from his will, that discipline is also something we should fear. Job understood this balance well when he said, “Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom.” We are to fear the Lord not because we are scared of God, but because we understand His power and response to sin. To fear the Lord is to revere God - because of his character, and worship Him in awe - because of his Love. With so many people claiming to offer Christian advice, how do we know what’s Biblical truth and what’s just bad advice? In this Bible study / Bible devotional out of Jeremiah 27, we’ll look at, 3 Facts to Spot the Fakes, teaching us how to spot a fake prophet, and how to identify a fake teacher or preacher. Hint: One way to spot a false prophet is to ask, is Jesus God? *** Key Verse: Jeremiah 27:14-15 - “It is a lie that they are prophesying to you. I have not sent them, declares the LORD.” *** Supporting Bible verses to expose false prophets: Matthew 7:15–16 - “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits.” Isaiah 59:2 - but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear. Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 10:30 - I and the Father are one. John 20:28 - Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” *** Related Videos: 3 False "Bible Quotes" Christians Believe | Acts 17:11 Bible Devotional | Christian YouTuber https://youtu.be/o8rm5Wz4frk?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-jJB_LDsA9TnIMJrFsSPoOM Choose Your Friends Wisely | Proverbs 13:20 Bible Devotional | Christian Vlogger https://youtu.be/RlMiJpas6gA?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-g2DFaZJUTclHeTRu0E7pji Be Strong and Courageous - Stand for the Word of God | Jeremiah 20:9 Bible Devotional | Bible Study https://youtu.be/Rm4jMArsDCQ?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-goemb1lt3SSBR3iFDmhAz0 What is sin, and why God disciplines those he loves. | Jeremiah 13:22 Devotional | Bible Study https://youtu.be/TMeD7evS3V8?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-goemb1lt3SSBR3iFDmhAz0 The Way the Truth and The Life: Is the Narrow Road too Narrow Minded? | Jeremiah 6:16 Bible Study https://youtu.be/pEVCznwoKUI?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-goemb1lt3SSBR3iFDmhAz0 *** SUBSCRIBE for new devotionals every Tuesday. https://www.youtube.com/user/BibleMunch?sub_confirmation=1 *** Connect Daily ► Facebook -- https://www.facebook.com/BibleMunch ► Twitter -- https://www.twitter.com/BibleMunch ► Instagram -- https://www.instagram.com/BibleMunch *** Transcript: In Jeremiah 27:14-15 The King was surrounded by false prophets, so he was warned: “It is a lie that they are prophesying to you. I have not sent them, declares the LORD.” It’s a scary thought that some people we may trust to give us biblical advise, are actually feeding us lies. From Church pulpits, to YouTube personalities, how do we know, who to trust? Here’s 3 Facts to Spot the Fakes: One, they lie about Sin: Sin is serious. Isaiah 59:2 - but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear. When the topic of sin is conveniently ignored, sugar coated, or redefined to be acceptable. Stay away. Two, they lie about the Gospel: The Bible is clear about how we are saved. We are saved, by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. If anyone tries to add anything to that, like worship on a certain day, or pray to a certain saint, or perform any kind of service to God… Stay Away. Last, but most important. Three, they lie about Jesus: Jesus is God. Referencing the Trinity, John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Referencing his deity, Jesus Says in John 10:30 – I and the Father are one. When Thomas when confronted with the risen Jesus, says), John 20:28 – “My Lord and my God!” Jesus is not just a man. He is not just a Prophet. He is not an angel. Jesus is God. If anyone says any different. Stay Away. Remember: Be careful who you listen to: Use God’s word to fact check their word. That’s today’s Bible Munch.

3 False "Bible Quotes" Christians Believe | Acts 17:11 Bible Devotional | Christian YouTuber

02:11
Is that an actual Bible quote? Does the Bible really say that? We should ask those questions every time someone says, “in the Bible it says… .” The fact is, people believe and say all kinds of lies thinking it’s from the Bible. However, if you take the time to read and study the Bible for yourself, you’ll quickly find that a lot of sayings or “verses” that get passed on as Bible truth, are not in the Bible at all. Some are even heretical. In this Bible devotional, we’ll look at 3 common false Bible quotes that many believe are in the Bible. Then taking a look at the Bereans in Acts 17:11, you’ll see how important God’s word teaches that you should read and study the Bible for yourself. Acts 17:11 - Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. * Subscribe Here: http://bit.ly/29qM6Wo * The Golden Rule teaches, do unto others as you would want others to do unto you. But, what does that actually look like lived out. What is the Golden Rule practically? What does do unto others … mean? These are important questions. Just to say, love one another, or love God love others, isn’t enough. We need it examples. Knowing what would Jesus do (WWJD) when it comes to how to treat others, is key to the Christian faith. In this Bible Study / Bible devotional in Mark 9, you’ll learn 4 Ways to Do Unto Others Using S.A.L.T. Four ways to be Salt, and how to treat others as you want to be treated. Watch this devotional to learn the meaning of this powerful acronym! *** Key Verse: Mark 9:50 Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, how will you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.” *** The Golden Rule Matthew 7:12 “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. *** Related Videos: What is the Unforgivable Sin? – Is Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit the Unpardonable Sin? https://youtu.be/inpYMOfVQv4?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-jYp24sLIN5R-m5glzTwJJO 5 Step Decision Making - How to Make the Right Decision Biblically | Jeremiah 41:17 Bible Study https://youtu.be/AEdhp6b6Izs?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-goemb1lt3SSBR3iFDmhAz0 *** SUBSCRIBE for new devotionals every Tuesday. https://www.youtube.com/user/BibleMunch?sub_confirmation=1 *** Connect Daily ► Facebook -- https://www.facebook.com/BibleMunch ► Twitter -- https://www.twitter.com/BibleMunch ► Instagram -- https://www.instagram.com/BibleMunch *** Transcript: Most people have heard of the Golden Rule, Matthew 7:12, “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them.” You might be thinking, okay, but, what does that actually look like lived out? Well, using the acronym S.A.L.T. we get 4 clear answers. In Mark chapter 9. The disciples, who knew the Golden rule, were actually arguing with each other about which one of them was the Greatest. Can you even imagine that conversation? Were they just trying to one up each other, with claims of how amazing they were? Where they cutting each other down for past failures and mistakes? We don’t know. But Jesus did. And in Mark 9:50 he tells them, “Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.” Knowing the Golden rule, to do unto others as you would want them to do unto you. And knowing what Salt is, common, a preservative, and something that enhances flavor, what is Jesus saying? How do we live this out? Easy. FIRST, SERVE - Be there for others. Like, Jesus we are not called to BE served, but TO serve. Our gifts, talents, and abilities are not just for our benefit, but to bless others. SECOND, APPRECIATE – Show appreciation of others. Applaud good effort. Recognize accomplishments. Say thank you regularly. THIRD, LOVE – The way Jesus loves, love others. Openly. Sacrificially. Constantly. Without expectation of return. And FORTH, TREASURE – Value others. Show them kindness, dignity and respect, always. No matter their past, or your personal differences. When we treat others like that, When we Serve, Appreciate, Love, and Treasure those around us, we live out the Golden Rule, we become like the SALT Jesus instructs us to, and we become more of the type of men and women that we are called to be. Is God listening to your prayers? | How to Pray to God | Luke 18 & Job 35 Bible Devotion

Is God listening to your prayers? Sometimes the answer is, No. Here's how to pray to God so that He hears, and responds to you. In this Bible Devotion out of Luke 18 and Job 35, Pastor Nelson looks how to pray, some reasons why God ignores our prayers, and how to make sure God is listening when we pray. Also, Luke 18:9–14 *** Transcript Have you ever had the impression that God wasn’t listening to you. Like God was just plain ignoring you? You prayed, but received no answer. You worshiped, but didn’t feel any connection. Now, here’s the part where, I’m suppose to reassure you that God is always listening, and that as a believer, you have direct access to God! And while that is true… What’s scary is, there are cases where God hears you, but He completely ignore you. Let me explain. Jesus tells a parable in the book of Luke, about two men. One was a tax collector, a man who everyone looked down on, and the other was a Pharisee, a man everyone looked up to. The Tax collector, humbly prays to God asking for mercy and forgiveness. The Pharisee prays to God, out of pridefulness, using eloquent words, and loud boasts of personal piety. Jesus explains that the prayer of Tax collector was answered, not of the Pharisee. They both prayed to God, but God chose to hear one, and ignore the other. Why? Job 35:13 helps us understand, saying: Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it. You see, God is not interested in empty words. You can stand in Church, clap your hands and sing of God’s great love, but if your heart isn’t singing along, and your mind is off somewhere else… that’s not worship. God’s not listening. If you’re praying out loud or to yourself, using every theological word you can think of, in hopes to impress God, or the people around you about how spiritual you are… God won’t be moved. God does not answer empty cries. The key to being heard by God, isn’t in the words that are coming out of your mouth. Instead, it’s in the love for Him that flows out of your Heart. Those are words God never ignores. And that’s today’s Bible Munch. *** SUBSCRIBE for new devotionals every Tuesday. https://www.youtube.com/user/BibleMunch?sub_confirmation=1 *** Connect Daily ► Website: BibleMunch.com ► Facebook -- https://www.facebook.com/BibleMunch ► Twitter -- https://www.twitter.com/BibleMunch ► Instagram -- https://www.instagram.com/BibleMunch

Romans 5:3–4 3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 2 Corinthians 1:3–4 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. *** Transcript: Why does God allow suffering? Why does bad things happen to good people? You can’t but help to ask those questions as you read the book of Job. Here’s a man, who experienced a kind of suffering most struggle even to imagine. But if God is good, if God is all powerful, why does God allow suffering? There’s several reasons, but here’s three: ( 1 Freewill :: Matthew 22:37-39 ) First, in a world cursed by sin, filled with humans who sin, pain and suffering from one to another inevitable. The only way to stop that, would be to remove our freewill, and control us like robots preprogramed never to do wrong. But because God is love, and He desires us to genuinely love Him and others, He has given us freewill, a great gift… but with the potential of great consequences. ( 2 Strengthen :: Romans 5:3-4 ) A Second, reason why God allows suffering is that, He uses those times to strengthen our faith. Like a muscle, to grow, it has to be stretched and stressed, even torn, because when it heals, it heals stronger. Faith is no different. By going to God, seeking his will and strength, our struggles become our tools, to grow closer to God, and grow in Christ likeness. ( 3 Help Others :: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 ) Third, and I believe this one is key to understanding why God allowed Job to suffer so much, is God allows suffering in our lives so that we can help others who suffer. When a Christian experiences the pain of losing a child, the struggle of addiction, or that injustice of crimes committed against them, and they turn to God for help and healing, they learn a lesson no text book can teach. Their experience, allows them the ability to instruct others how to trust God through life’s darkest storms. Just think of how many have been helped through Job’s suffering. No matter what you face, pray for the strength to face it like Job saying: “The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” (Job 1:21) That’s todays Bible Munch *** SUBSCRIBE for new devotionals every Tuesday. https://www.youtube.com/user/BibleMunch?sub_confirmation=1 *** Connect Daily ► Facebook -- https://www.facebook.com/BibleMunch ► Twitter -- https://www.twitter.com/BibleMunch ► Instagram -- https://www.instagram.com/BibleMunch

Why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he will not return to me.” *** Transcript: The loss of a child is perhaps the single most traumatic experience anyone can face. Not only does a parent have to face all the pain, but often times they wrestle with questions. Do babies go to heaven? Do miscarried babies go to heaven? What about small children? Thankfully, the Bible offers answers. In Job chapter three, Job is trying to process his tremendous physical and emotional pain, including the loss of all his children, all at once, and so he cries out to God… “Why was I not as a hidden stillborn child as infants who never see the light? There the wicked cease from troubling, and there the weary are at rest.” (Job 3:16-17) Because of the pain and suffering he was going through, Job gets to the point where he questions his own birth. Thankfully God is big enough to handle our questions. More to the point, in Job’s statement, comes an interesting truth. He says, a stillborn child… goes to a place of rest. Hell is never described as a place of rest, but heaven is. Revelation 14:13 says, “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest.” Job’s statement of stillborns and infants going to a place of rest, is powerful. In another place in Scripture, when the child of King David dies, he says after people are questioning his behavior, “He is dead. Why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he will not return to me.” (2 Samuel 12:23). While there’s more to unpack here theologically, for now, by the testimony of both Job and David, Scripture seems to clearly say, Babies go to heaven. So if you’ve lost a child through miscarriage, or later, take heart. Your Baby is in the hands of our heavenly father. And as a believer, you’ll see them someday soon. I’ve never been wrong. I have never made a mistake. I pretty much lived a perfect life up until this point. Sin… no… never. Let’s be honest. Everything I just said… could - NOT - be true of anyone. We’ve all done things that we regret. We’ve all been wrong. We’ve all made mistakes... none of us is prefect or without sin. Knowing that, why are we so afraid to reveal our past? Because it makes us seem, weak? Flawed? Imperfect? And in our false fronts of perfection… what message are we broadcasting to those around us? How high of an imposable standard have we set for those in our lives… Our friends? Our family? Our children? Wouldn’t it be better to be honest about our past? Wouldn’t the failures of our friends and family be so much lighter of a load for them to carry, knowing we’ve also made mistakes? That’s what we see Psalms, chapter 78. The truth was, Israel’s past was riddled with failures. They made wrong decisions. They ignored God’s voice. They had a lot to regret. But instead of not talking about their failures, Psalm 78:4 reads, “We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done. That simple verse reminds us to set aside our pride, and be honest about our past, not just as lessons for the future, but as opportunities to show others, that even in our failures, God is faithful and forgiving. No one is perfect, but if we’re honest about our past, we can point to the one who is. * Click to SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/29qM6Wo * Where or what we find security in, there we find our faith. As Christians, we need to trust in the Lord, to have faith in God! The ideology of our times tells us that security is found in ability, accomplishments, power, money, education, or reputation. That ideology might sound right to some, but the Bible reminds us to, “lean not on your own understanding,” but again, trust in the Lord, have faith in God! Keep the Faith! This short Bible study / devotional out of the book of Jeremiah, reminds us that faith is God is the only place where we will find lasting security. Trust in God. He walked, just over 1138 feet, going between two Swiss mountaintops. Having 5,249 feet of air, between him and the ground. All without any sort of safeguarding. Now tell me, as Freddy walked that tightrope, where do you think he placed his trust, his confidence, his security? In the tightrope. That tightrope was the only thing in between Freddy and splat. At almost a mile up in the sky, you get perspective. You learn, that a lot of things most people place their security in, just didn’t matter. Accomplishments, reputation, degrees, position, or money, none of that offers any real security. In that moment, nothing in Freddy’s life matter more or offered more, than that tightrope. – So that’s what he focused on, and trust in. As we’ve been reading through the book of Jeremiah together, now at Chapter 48, we learned that Moab had it all wrong. They were a prideful nation that placed their trust and security in their wealth, accomplishments, and false god. But in verse 7 they’re told, “For, because you trusted in your works and your treasures, you also shall be taken.” The lesson is, true and lasting safety is not found in anything, or anyone else, but the one true God. The question we have to ask ourselves is, where do we ultimately place our trust as we walk the tightrope of life? Proverbs 3:5–6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. A lot of things in the world offer temporary security. But if you want lasting security, Go to God. That’s today’s Bible Munch.

What is sin, and why God disciplines those he loves. | Jeremiah 13:22 Devotional | Bible Study

02:04
What is sin? Does God correct those he loves? What is the definition of sin in the Bible? What is sin, and why God disciplines those he loves is a common question. However, those who ask, what does the Bible say about sin, don’t have to dig very deep into God’s word to understand how Sin and Punishment go hand in hand. Scripture makes it clear, your sins will find you out. In this Bible devotional / Bible study, we’ll look at Jeremiah 13:22, and several other Bible verses about sin in the Bible to understand that when a Christian sins, and when the Lord disciplines, the consequences of sin can be painful, but God’s discipline is intended for our Good. *** SUBSCRIBE for new devotionals every Tuesday: http://bit.ly/29qM6Wo *** Key Verse: Jeremiah 13:22 - “And if you say in your heart, ‘Why have these things come upon me?’ it is for the greatness of your iniquity.” *** Supporting Bible Verses about Sin: 1 John 3:4 - “Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.” Numbers 32:23 - “You have sinned against the LORD, and be sure your sin will find you out.” Revelation 3:19 - “Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.” *** Related Videos: God’s Discipline - https://youtu.be/v3uYmiEIpdo?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-jZc71evMTXrU_cAfndnkDd Most Have at Least One… - https://youtu.be/Jiv1SG4L4oc?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-jJB_LDsA9TnIMJrFsSPoOM Can God Still Use Me? - https://youtu.be/91z7k5LGAes?list=PLYUzs7YowQ-jZc71evMTXrU_cAfndnkDd *** Connect Daily ► Facebook -- www.facebook.com/BibleMunch ► Twitter -- www.twitter.com/BibleMunch ► Instagram -- www.instagram.com/BibleMunch *** SUBSCRIBE for new devotionals every Tuesday: http://bit.ly/29qM6Wo

If my people who are called by my name … _ 2 Chronicles 7:14 __ Bible Munch

03:41
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 How's this for the Bible project or Bible devotions, what would happen if those in the United states, or any nation, prayed for the healing of their land? If my people pray, the promise of 2nd Chronicles 7:14 can't be done alone, but it needs to start with each person. In a sense, II Chronicles 7:14 is a prayer for revival, a revival prayer that requires those in the nation to collectively humbles themselves and pray for healing. If People prayed like that in the United States, or any nation, God would respond, and keep his promise. Christians, let's pray that God would turn the hearts of all those in our nation towards repentance prayer and faith in Jesus Christ! Pray for the United States of America, and every nation! *** SUBSCRIBE for more Bible Devotions and Bible Study Videos. https://www.youtube.com/user/BibleMunch?sub_confirmation=1

Evangelism - Dealing with Rejection | Acts 28:24 Bible Devotional | Bible Study

02:06
Evangelism and dealing with rejection is difficult. When witnessing our faith in Jesus Christ, is it our responsibility to say the right things? To answer all the questions? To know the exact Bible verses? Many Christians feel a burden to share the Gospel, but their fear of not be able to convince anyone of it pushes them back from even trying. This shouldn’t be. Evangelism is not about having all the right answers to all the arguments. Evangelism is about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. In this Bible devotional, we’ll look at Acts 28:24, and learn that even the Apostle Paul couldn’t convince everyone he evangelized to put their faith in Jesus Christ, and why that’s okay. Acts 28:24 - And some were convinced by what he said, but others disbelieved. Jesus used them all the time. A familiar one is known as the parable of the prodigal Son. It’s the story of a young man who leaves home in hopes to experience life outside the responsibilities and care of his father. But as always with sin, the excitement is short lived, and the costs are far more than anyone can afford. The experience for this son was no different. It’s at his lowest, where he is literally covered in pig filth, that he releases his mistake. So he determines to return to his father, in hopes he will be accepted back. The beauty of the story is that while the son turned his back on his father, the father never turned his back on his son. As the son neared home, his father runs out to embrace him, and accepts him! He take away the filthy clothes and gives him the best clean clothes he has! While there’s more to the story, that scene of the son receiving new clothes is so powerful because it pictures God’s forgiveness! We see a parallel in the Old Testament where, in a vision, Joshua is standing before God with filthy garments on. And like the prodigal son, God says, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” And to him he said, “Behold, I have taken your iniquity away from you, and I will clothe you with pure vestments.” - Zechariah 3:4 In both of those passages, it didn’t matter how the garments got stained. It didn’t matter what types of stains they had. In both passages, the key was going to God. So if you struggle with the question, “will God forgive me for my past sin,” the answer is, yes. When you place our faith in Jesus, there is no sin stain that God can’t take away. That’s today’s Bible Munch. *** Subscribe for New Bite-Sized Devotionals Each Week! http://bit.ly/29qM6Wo *** Connect Daily ► Facebook -- https://www.facebook.com/BibleMunch ► Twitter -- https://www.twitter.com/BibleMunch ► Instagram -- https://www.instagram.com/BibleMunch

God is Love and Judge | Psalm 7:11 Bible Devotional | Bible Study

02:04
God is love and Judge. God’s love is an attribute of God most love to talk about, but what about his other attributes? Most tend to discredit the fact that God is love, and he is judge simultaneously. The Justice of God and the love of God go hand in hand, so much so that God is a God of love because he is a just God, and he is a just God, because he is a God of Love; one would not be true without the other. In this Bible study devotional, we’ll look at Psalm 7:11, and learn of the comfort we should have knowing God is love and judge. So after my wife and I were married and had our first child, we needed to make the decision whether or not we would adopt the Santa Claus tradition in our family. Like most parents, we’d do just about anything to bring joy, awe and amazement into the lives of our little ones. After all, what harm could it do? But here’s the deal, in order for our children believe in Santa Claus, they would have to believe that Santa Claus, lives in the North Pole, for that least the last 1000 years. So Santa is, Eternal. He delivers gifts to all the children in the world on December 24th. So Santa is, near Omnipresent. He knows every child by name, and he knows whether they have been, Naughty or Nice. So Santa is, All-knowing. And he himself, must be Fully Good. Lastly, Santa enables his Reindeer to fly. So he must be, All-powerful. Those are just a few examples of what our kids would need to believe. As it turns out, Santa Claus, is not just a single little white lie, it is one lie after another. And the more questions our kids would inevitably ask, the more lies we would need to tell them, to maintain the first. Obviously, the Bible is clear when it comes to lies: “You shall not lie to one another.” So, while the Santa tradition is cute, the boldfaced lies we would have to tell our kids year after year make it a tradition we couldn’t adopt. But as it turns out, even Without Santa, the joy, awe, and amazement of Christmas isn’t lost, instead it’s focused on the one who is Eternal, Omnipresent, All-knowing, Fully Good, and All-powerful, our Savior who’s birth and love we celebrate as a family. For us, Jesus really is the reason for the season. If this devotional was encouraging, please give this video a thumbs up to let me know. Share it with your friends. But some are quick to say, how can God be Good, when murder, cancer, and birth defects exist? How can God be good, when political corruption, and racial tension, and suicide bombers, are reported on regularly? So many, so quickly point to all the wrong in the world, as their evidence to God’s negligence screaming, if God were good this world would reveal it we would experience it. I say, we do. You just need to open your eyes to see it, take a moment to consider it. IF GOD WERE NOT GOOD, everyone would be a murderer, we would all have cancer and no baby would be born heathy. IF GOD WERE NOT GOOD, we wouldn’t know times of peace, laws wouldn’t exist, unity wouldn’t be an impossibility. IF GOD WERE NOT GOOD, sunrise and smiles, joy and laughter, generosity and beauty, wouldn’t be a part of our reality. To those who shake their fist at God, did you forget, that this world and every human in it, is cursed by sin? Have you forgotten that in sin, we are enemies of God? God owes us nothing. No good is due us. But as evidence of God’s magnificent love, mercy, grace and goodness, Jesus was sent to us, to die for us, so we, enemies of God, could be reconciled to God (Romans 5:8-10). To those who hold the opinion that God is NOT good, the truth is, no matter how strongly stated, or how widely accepted, opinions of God, will not and cannot change the truth of God. God is Good. The immature looks at the world and despairs but, the mature looks at the same things and is able: “to declare that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him” (Psalm 92:15). God is Good!
