Beard grooming doesn't need to take all morning. Jeff shows us today how to quickly and easily take care of your beard and have it looking it's best with minimal work. To use this technique all you'll need is a comb, boar's hair brush, and a little bit of beard oil. You'll start with a clean, wet beard and use the comb to detangle the beard. You can start with a wide tooth then move to a finer tooth comb. After that use a boar's hair brush to brush through the beard and have it follow the neck line. After a good brushing, then your next step will be to fluff out the beard with the trick being to go both sideways and up and down. Finally you'll want to lay down the beard. The key to this movement is this time you won't follow your neck line. Essentially you'll go in a straight line from your cheeks down to the ground. 3 Rules for Growing Out Your Beard | Eric Bandholz

03:04
SHOP Beard, Hair & Body Products Here --- http://bdbd.us/231H2Xl http://www.instagram.com/beardbrand http://www.twitter.com/thebeardbrand Ready to grow your beard? Well we've got three tips that are going to answer your beard growing questions and make your journey easier. First rule - When in doubt, grow it out. Growing a beard takes time and patience, there's no way around it, so relax and don't make any rushed decisions. Eric suggests that if you're contemplating shaving your beard off completely, take one day to think it over for every month of growth you've put in so far. Got a seven month old beard? Take a week to mull it over before you go forth and shave. Second rule - Neckline. No one wants a neckbeard, but be sure you're clear on which part of your beard constitutes the neck, and which part is considered part of your head. Third and final rule - There are no rules. At the end of the day, you're free to do with your beard what you want. You're your own person, so do what makes you happy and helps you grow as an individual.

For more from him you can follow him on Instagram at: http://www.instagram.com/buon_buon The beard wave is a common beard pattern that can me minimized with the right techniques. To do this technique simply comb the beard down, then at the curl rotate the comb and apply heat from the hair dryer. It's best to watch the video as it's a little challenging to describe. Beard Balm vs Beard Oil | Eric Bandholz

04:27
SHOP Beard, Hair & Body Products Here --- http://bdbd.us/1L2o2zm Read About Beard Oil -- https://www.beardbrand.com/blogs/urbanbeardsman/best-beard-oils-for-2017 Beard Balm and Beard Oil are two very similar products that can achieve similar results, or different results. A beard oil is a conditioning product that you apply and leave in to soften a beard, help it smell great, and minimize dry skin and flakiness. A beard balm can be a conditioning product like a beard oil, or it could also be a sculpting product which will help tame the beard and give it shape. With a conditioning balm you'l get slightly more control than a beard oil because it's a butter based product. Butters are like shea butter, cocoa butter, or mango butter. A sculpting beard balm will most likely also include waxes and lean towards the harder butters to help keep the beard in it's place. It's important to buy a product that is providing the type of results you are looking for. Look in the back to see if beeswax (or other waxes) are part of the ingredient list. I'd recommend staying away from products that list water as their primary ingredient. Frequently they'll use silicones to give the feeling of a balm, without using the premium ingredients. That being said, every product is different and not all water based products are "bad." It's important to do your own research on ingredients and be aware of what you are putting on your skin and beard. ABOUT BEARDBRAND Beardbrand is a men’s grooming company that focuses on beard care. How to Trim Your Beard with Scissors | Eric Bandholz

SHOP Beard, Hair & Body Products Here --- http://bdbd.us/29xJFfV http://www.instagram.com/beardbrand http://www.twitter.com/thebeardbrand Step one is to eye out the general line you want to follow, then give yourself a little extra length to even everything out once the first cut is done. Eric recommends picking up a pair of scissors from Beardbrand for the highest quality scissors you can get. The biggest thing you want to remember is to follow your jawline. You want your beard to shape and contour with your jaw, and you want to continually brush the beard up and away from your face to locate loose ends and eliminate them. Take your time! Don't rush your trim, in fact it may take two or more small trims over a few days to get your beard exactly where you want it. And if you make a mistake, don't fret - it will grow back!

Stop Destroying your Beard | Eric Bandholz

We are changing the way to society views beardsmen by shifting beards to a more neutral to positive connotation. We post new videos every Thursday and would love your subscription. Beard on! DESCRIPTION I've given a guide on how to grow and maintain your beard from the positive side; now on the inverse - what are the worst things to do for your beard. Really it comes down to physically touching your beard in a bad way. Work on adjusting your habits so that you don't focus on one hair, but instead stroke the full beard. I've found that having a comb near by is very handy, and while combing a beard is still a physical activity - it's not as harsh as the picking / plucking. From there, over washing can cause brittleness, breakage, and split ends. If you need to wash your beard daily; then look into investing in a beard wash + softener that are designed specifically for beard care. Simply using that $1 shampoo from the local drug store won't be good for your beard. Finally, keep stress down, eat right, and exercise. Do those things and your beard will be looking it's best. SHOP Beard, Hair & Body Products Here --- http://bdbd.us/1Sl1f6k http://www.instagram.com/beardbrand http://www.twitter.com/thebeardbrand Jeff talks with us about how to trim your beard neck line in this awesome video. The biggest many men make is that they trim the beard neck line way too high and show off too much of the neck. This draws the eye to the wrong part of the face and can make a guy look silly. The key with trimming your beard neck line is to trim it just above the Adam's apple. When you do that, it grows back in a more normal appearance and the scruff on your neck is more acceptable. If you are thinning up top it'll help draw your attention towards the bottom of your face rather than toward the top of your head.

Handlebar Mustache with Loose Curl Tutorial | Greg Berzinsky

06:06
Shop Beardbrand: http://bdbd.us/2sRSV73 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/beardbrand Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/beardbrand DESCRIPTION Today Greg Berzinsky shows us how to style a loose curl handlebar mustache using our Temple Smoke Mustache Wax, a hair dryer, and a half inch round brush. After you are done styling your beard make sure your beard is still wet, use the brush to roll the hair under while pulling it in the direction of the curl. Part of it is practice, but some of it is just the way your hair grows. If your hair grows toward the middle, you'll want to use the hair dryer to push the hair outward for both branches of your mustache. Now you have the general shape of a loose handlebar 'stache, so we can move on the curl. You'll now want to use the brush to go over your hairs and curl up on the ends, using the hair dryer as needed. As you are rolling up you'll also want to pull out to get the curls going in the direction you want them to go. You can leave your mustache as is. You've created a wave set using a round brush and hair dryer to achieve a natural curl. Not everyone hair grows that way though. Some grow straight down, so that was all to get it going in the right direction before we moved on. We're gonna take it a step further, and solidify the shape, by using Temple Smoke Mustache Wax. The scent isn't overbearing and it's a great smell to have underneath your nose as the day goes on. Next, you'll want to heat up the wax using the hair dryer and apply it directly to your mustache. A liberal amount on the curl, and underside of the mustache, and a little bit on top will ensure it all stays in place and keeps its shape. If you want to put your curls in a certain direction, you can use a comb. The wax will dry, set, and leave you with loose curls on a handlebar mustache. The whole process is usually pretty quick, but you can play around with balance and symmetry to achieve the look you want. You even go to a longhorn style or have a tighter curl by pulling on your ends, or holding it in place and setting it using a hair dryer, respectively. The curls don't always have to be equal, sometimes it's nice to just leave them a little off-center. But if you're going out of the night, want to make a statement, or are competing, then a little candle wax or Elmer's glue can help get them into perfect curls. As always, it's easier to watch something than reading this description. It's only 6 minutes long and gives a timeless styling option. How to Deal With a Patchy Beard | Eric Bandholz

04:47
SHOP Beard, Hair & Body Products Here --- http://bdbd.us/1L2o5eB Having a patchy beard or beard patches is a very frustrating thing, but sometimes you are your own worst enemy. A beard takes time to come in and what you have after a couple days of growth can be completely different than a few months of growth. The reason is that beards grow in at different speeds and when you give a beard enough time to grow properly those patchy areas will fill in. That being said, there are some beards that simply will never fill in - no matter the amount of time you give it. For those people the best strategy is to keep your facial hair short or scruffy. Many celebrities keep this look like Johnny Depp and James Franco. There is no shame in a beard that doesn't fill in fully. The shame is trying to be someone who you aren't. Celebrate your genetics and handle it to the best of your ability. The third kind of patchy beards are those guys who have full, dense beards but find the smallest imperfection and assume it's a shit beard. The reality is their expectations are too high. Only a small percentage of men are able to grow a completely full and dense beard. It's best to try growing out your beard before you go around telling everyone that your beard is patchy. You only know if you grow.

What is Co-Washing Your Beard?

04:42
Shop Beardbrand: http://bdbd.us/2snmlJS Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/beardbrand Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/beardbrand DESCRIPTION Alright, so many guys know that you don’t need to wash your beard every single day. In fact, we recommend that you wash your beard about two times per week. So a very common question we get is what should I do on the days that I’m not washing your beard. So the first thing that I want to clear up is just because you aren’t using a beard wash on your beard, doesn’t mean you don’t rinse or clean your beard. On days I’m not using beard wash, I’ll get my beard all up into the shower and rinse it thoroughly. Here’s the thing though - I’m an office dude so my beard isn’t getting messy and dirty on a daily basis. It might be a good idea to wash & soften daily for guys who are working outdoors, who exercise vigorously daily, or are generally really messy eaters. If you are one of those guys, then always be sure to use a product specifically designed for your face & beard and follow up with a beard softener. Now, onto the topic of hand - co-washing. Co-Washing stands for “conditioner washing” and is a great solution for curly hair or hair that tends to dry out. See, conditioners (aka softeners) have a small amount of detergents in the formulation and will help clean the beard, but won’t leave it as dry as you’ll have it when using a beard wash. If you co-wash regularly, you’ll want to avoid the use of products that have any type of silicones in the ingredients. This is because silicones generally aren’t water soluble and won’t rinse out. So what happens is you begin to get buildup on your hair and this can lead to your hair looking dull, flakey, and damaged. The Beardbrand Beard Softener is silicone, paraben, and sulfate free so it’s the perfect product for co-washing. With everything we talk about, there is no one perfect routine or solution for every guy. You need to play around and test what works best for you and your lifestyle. For his own beard, Jeff comes down to right where the sideburn begins to break and draws a straight line toward the mustache. There are techniques to go with a lower curve or to have a straighter line. The big key is to get rid of the hairs that don't look like they belong and keeping your beard at the fullest point.

My Top 5 Beard Secrets | Jeff Buoncristiano

05:34
SHOP Beardbrand Supplies -- http://bdbd.us/2mHBovq Follow us at: http://www.instagram.com/beardbrand http://www.twitter.com/beardbrand Secret #1 - Don’t trim your mustache! Let it go! Leaving it alone will allow your mustache to look fuller and healthier. However, it’s alright to lightly trim the split-ends of your mustache if any stray hairs start getting out of control. Secret #2 - Maintain your neckline. Depending on how sharp you want it to look and how fast the hair grows, be sure to shave your neck once or twice a week. Maintaining your neckline gives the beard an edgy shape and less sloppy look. Especially if your chest hair connects to the beard.. Secret #3 - Frequent beard oiling. Applying beard oil more than once a day keeps the dryness away. By applying at least twice a day - once in the morning and once in the afternoon - will help keep your skin and beard moisturized and healthier. Secret #4 - Ignore the cheek lines. In many cases, leaving the cheek lines alone can give your beard a burly or haggard look. If you’re tired of the clean/sharp cut style; give this one a shot! Secret #5 - Physical health. Staying healthy, active and keeping your weight in line can help your beard look better. Your beard conforms to your face shape, so if your face shape is thinner and longer your beard will take on a more natural, forward-flowing shape.

How I Style My Hair | Greg Berzinsky

04:36
Shop Beardbrand: http://bdbd.us/2sZehDE Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/beardbrand Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/beardbrand DESCRIPTION In today’s video Greg Berzinsky is back in the bathroom with another great styling guide on how he gets his hair. Surprisingly (or not) he uses a lot of the same techniques he uses to style his beard. If you missed that video, the link is below. He starts off with washing his hair and making sure it’s clean. Then from there he’ll towel dry. The hair is a modified undercut and he’ll comb the hair to the part. First he starts off with a Spiced Citrus Sea Salt Spray to give it texture. It’s something everyone could use unless you have very thick and dense hair. Once the sea salt spray is in the hair he’s going to start drying the hair and adding lift to the hair by using a round brush. That’s going to give a little cowlick and curve to the hair. When using the hair dryer it’s important to use heat to work the curl and then a cold blast to lock it into place. Always finish with a cold blast. If you, you could finish at this point but today Greg is going to add some Spiced Citrus Styling Balm into the hair starting with the front and then the back forward. This will give it a little more hold. The final part is to use fingers to add dimensions to the hair in a backwards motion. That’s it! 5 Beard Mistakes | Clayton Cook

05:45
SHOP Beard, Hair & Body Products Here --- http://bdbd.us/2bvbYzN http://www.instagram.com/beardbrand http://www.twitter.com/thebeardbrand Read About Beard Oil -- https://www.beardbrand.com/blogs/urbanbeardsman/best-beard-oils-for-2017 Lack of patience and mucked up trims and overwashing, oh my! Clayton is here to talk about the top five beard mistakes guys tend to make when growing out their face jacket. 1. No patience. Don't make hasty decisions when it comes to your beard. If it's itchy or you get aggravated and want to hack away at the beard, give yourself a day or two to cool off and think about if you really want to wreck all the time and energy you've put into your mane so far. 2. Bad trim. Maybe you decided to give it a shape up and things went horribly wrong, especially at the neckline. It's an easy mistake to make, and if you do, just grab your clippers and take the beard down a bit so things are more uniform and let it grow back out again. 3. Washing every day. Save the washing and conditioning for two to three times per week to avoid stripping it of essential oils. 4. Not using beard products. Things like beard oil, as well as beard wash and softener can go a long way in keeping the beard clean, soft, and looking healthy. 5. Beard envy. Be happy with what you've got and happy in your own skin. Rock what you've got with confidence and enjoy the journey.

This unique shape is obtained by blending the sides of the beard into the chin and 'stache area. Jay starts the trim using a grade four on his clippers and fading downward from the cheeks into the chin, leaving the mustache untouched. He gradually works his way down to a grade one to fade the tops of the sideburns.

We are changing the way to society views beardsmen by shifting beards to a more neutral to positive connotation. We post new videos every Thursday and would love your subscription. Beard on! So growing a beard is really simple - you simply stop shaving. That's all there really is to it. But there are things you can do to help make that process a more successful experience. First thing is to try to give your beard at least 1 to 2 months of growth before you even begin to trim it. This will prevent you from shaving off your beard all at once at the first little mistake and it will give you a clearer picture of what you have to work with. If you can't grow untouched for 1 to 2 months, we recommend growing your beard out for charity for Movember or No-Shave November. This will give you an excuse on why you are growing a beard that people won't be able to harass you about. From there if you want to speed up the growth of your beard you can take some biotin, multivitamins, eat a healthy diet which includes lots of protein, and lift weights. When you trim your beard for the first time you'll want to trim right above the adam's apple, NOT near the edge of your chin. Go with a nice rounded shape up towards your sideburns. When you groom you'll want to use beard oil. The stuff is fantastic and will soften up your beard, make it smell great, and help with dryness. Using a comb will help keep everything in line and premium combs will be cut from blanks and cheaper combs will be extruded from plastic. From there, have some fun with your beard and let it grow. Top 5 Tips to Grow a Beard | Eric Bandholz

SHOP Beard, Hair & Body Products Here --- http://bdbd.us/2aO4Qhu Enter Contest: http://bdbd.us/FifthChallenge http://www.instagram.com/beardbrand http://www.twitter.com/thebeardbrand Read About Beard Oil -- https://www.beardbrand.com/blogs/urbanbeardsman/best-beard-oils-for-2017 http://www.the5th.co/beard/ Thanks to our sponsors The Fifth. Eric is here with the top five tips for growing your beard. Let's get started: 1) Put down the razor. It's basic, it's simple, but it's the best thing you can do, gentlemen. It ain't going to grow if you're shaving it! If you want a beard, don't worry about shaping it or trimming it right off the bat. Don't touch the razor, leave the trimmer in the drawer, and let it grow. 2) Eat healthy and exercise. Give your body what it needs to grow your hair as healthy as possible. 3) Fight the itch. Sometimes you have to just deal with the itch - it's going to fade as the beard gets longer and the hairs grow away from your face. And apply some beard oil and beard softener, guys! It's going to go a long way in helping to combat the itch. 4) Enjoy the process. Live your life, be patient, and just enjoy the journey of growing. 5) Haters gonna hate. This one is psychological - don't let the doubters and naysayers get to you. And if they want to press you on it, tell them you can't shave because you're taking part in our contest to grow your beard and win a watch from The Fifth!

What is Solid Cologne? | Eric Bandholz

04:10
Purchase Solid Cologne: http://bdbd.us/1sqiLzf http://www.instagram.com/beardbrand http://www.twitter.com/thebeardbrand Ever heard of solid cologne? If not, don't worry - you're not alone. Most guys are familiar with traditional spray colognes, but what they don't know is that there is an alternative to those spray fragrances, and that's where solid colognes come in. Today Eric is here to explain what they are, how to use them, and where to get some of the best on the market. Solid colognes are typically beeswax-based, or even vegetable oil or jojoba oil based, layered with a fragrance. Sounds like a beard balm or mustache wax, right? Well you're not totally wrong, however you have to keep in mind that with balms and waxes, the fragrance percentage is substantially lower than in a solid cologne, as their main function is style and hold, not scent. It's also important to note that pure scents can be quite expensive, and Eric points out that lower priced perfumes and colognes are often a result of synthetic fragrances. Natural fragrances tend to be milder and purer in scent, and solid colognes are built to be more slow-release give off a more mellow scent. Application is a snap - swirl your finger in a circular motion, apply to pulse points, and smell badass. We just launched our Silver Line Men's Solid Colognes, so get yours now at Beardbrand.com!

How I Style my Beard | Greg Berzinsky

07:52
SHOP BEARDBRAND -- http://bdbd.us/2sxfWhg Follow us at: http://www.instagram.com/beardbrand http://www.twitter.com/beardbrand DESCRIPTION-- Greg Berzinsky for Beardbrand here today to show us how to go from this...to this. Greg starts with a freshly washed and conditioned beard, which he does every other day. He can't air dry his beard, Greg says, or he looks like Bozo the clown (I doubt that very much), so he has to do some work to get his dapper beard under control. To achieve a similar style for a medium texture, medium full beard, follow Greg's advice. Not too fine, not too course, Greg likes to add some product to his beard that will give him some more fullness, density and courseness. Beardbrand Salt Spray is added when it's still wet, working it in and then combing it through to distribute the product. Greg takes a bit of the curl out of the sides and adds a bit of wave to the chin of his beard by blow drying and using a .5 inch diameter round brush. He works downward with a hot setting and then coaxes the hair under at the bottom. Once it's in the right place he hits the beard with the cool air option on his dryer to set the hair in place. At the jawline Greg uses the brush to roll the hair down and back. The mustache today will be worn down so he uses the brush in a similar direction to pull the hair down and blend it into his beard. Greg enjoys a lot of product in his beard so he uses a generous dollop of Styling Balm, works it between his hands to warm it up and then works that into his beard, following the same motion he did with the brush. Moving in the direction of the hair working it down and under. Next, Greg uses a comb to smooth just the top layer with a beard and blend the mustache into the beard for a nice symmetrical finish. This takes about 3 minutes on a normal day. He refreshes it in the morning and washes his mustache a couple times a day to rinse out food and drinks. Growing A Beard As A Teenager | Eric Bandholz

06:40
SHOP Beard, Hair & Body Products Here --- http://bdbd.us/1L2o2zw ABOUT BEARDBRAND Beardbrand is a men’s grooming company that focuses on beard care. We are changing the way to society views beardsmen by shifting beards to a more neutral to positive connotation. We post new videos every Thursday and would love your subscription. Beard on! Growing a beard at as a teenager can be a difficult thing to do. You'll need to be patient as all guys will develop beards at different points in their life. For instance, I didn't really start growing my beard as a teen. It wasn't until my late 20's and early 30's that I started growing a long beard. I know it's not the best answer for when you want to grow a beard really bad, but it's the reality. Trying to do something to accelerate beard growth is not a good idea. Stick to what you can control and look at your family history for indication as to how your beard will come in. You can also look to see how many thin blonde hairs as a lot of those will convert into terminal hairs which will be the curly beard hair that grows. Some tips during the process are to: 1) Grow what you go - shave off the areas of your beard which haven't come fully in yet. 2) Don't compare yourself to others - Everyone is different and it's best to embrace your own uniqueness 3) Be patient - your beard will get better with time 4) Don't be drastic - Don't use rogaine, beard plugs or other "unnatural" beard growing techniques FOR MORE CHECK OUT: http://www.urbanbeardsman.com http://www.instagram.com/beardbrand http://www.instagram.com/ericbandholz http://www.twitter.com/thebeardbrand http://www.twitter.com/bandholz

How I Deal With My Beard Patches | Greg Berzinsky

06:31
Shop Beardbrand: http://bdbd.us/2ttWlSM Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/beardbrand Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/beardbrand DESCRIPTION Greg Berzinsky, one of the coveted beardsmen here at Beardbrand, is talking about the bald patches and thinning spots in his beard. He's mentioned in a few of his other videos that he has these issues. There isn't a shortage of guys that have similar issues. Even Eric has pointed out a few areas of his beard that are a little thinner than others. Next week he is gonna be in a Cut & Grind video and those bald spots are sure to make an appearance, so he wanted to clear the air now, show them off, and talk about how he fixes the issue. Greg wanted to let other guys know they can have a beard, and wear it confidently, even if they have thin spots. A lot of guys have bald spots under the lip, which isn't uncommon. Most times it reaches terminal length pretty quickly. He even has thin patches to the left and right of his soul patch. Just like you can do a comb over on the top of your head, you can do it with your beard to cover them up. He's main spots are where his mutton chops and goatee "connect". I say "connects" because it doesn't, but he makes it look like it does. Greg combs the goatee back, and the mutton chops down. You can even use styling balm to help keep it in place. This was the reason he hadn't grown a beard for the longest time because he never let it grow passed 30 days and the patches bothered him. You might not have patches as significant or as even, but it's worth trying to grow it out to see if you can cover it up with the adjoining hairs. Greg then goes through a few of the photos he's taken over the years to show what the process was like. They are also available on his Instagram @berzinsky if you go back two years. Take a dime sized amount and work it into the skin under your beard, and work your way out to the ends. You can also apply it to your skin as a deep moisturizer. Eric applies it to dry elbows as well as the face, and suggests with the drier months coming, definitely use the balm as a great moisturizing agent. It's also great for tattoos to keep them colorful and vibrant.

Eric says he noticed the hair on his crown beginning to thin when he grew his hair out, and in order to take action and do something about it, he began using Rogaine about six months ago. He says he decided to go with Rogaine foam, and is not using Finasteride or Nizoral shampoo (two other products that are helpful in fighting hair loss.) He also explains that the recommended usage is twice per day, but he has been sticking with once per day application and has not seen any real side effects other than a few ingrown hairs and possibly thicker facial hair.

What to do When You Hit a Yeard | Eric Bandholz

04:52
SHOP Beard, Hair & Body Products Here --- http://bdbd.us/22cPeUv http://www.instagram.com/beardbrand http://www.twitter.com/thebeardbrand What do you do once you hit the yeard mark? Well it's no secret that beardsmen become attached to their beards, especially after a year together. But the urge to just keep on growing beyond the one year mark might not always be your best option. Remember, you've just spent a year growing your beard without really touching it at all - you've got a variety of hairs that have come in, some denser and faster-growing than others. Now might be the time to consider a trim, and shape-up those faster growing hairs. And yes, this means your beard is going to be shorter. It can be a tough pill to swallow, but it's important to invest in a nice beard trim and find a solid grooming routine for yourself. Lengths can come and go, you can always trim and re-grow your beard. Don't stress too much about taking off some length, changing up your beard style from time to time is a good thing, and you can always grow it back out if you don't like the shorter length. One final note - once you get into a grooming routine and want to keep your beard looking neat and trimmed, look for a barber or salon that has beard trims on the menu. This is usually a good indicator that they know what they're doing - if you don't see it on their menu, they probably don't trim beards often, so you may not want to roll the dice at that particular location.

The Best Way to Shape Your Neckline at Your Jaw

SHOP Beardbrand Products -- http://bdbd.us/2tpbJMm Follow us at: http://www.instagram.com/beardbrand http://www.twitter.com/beardbrand DESCRIPTION We are back at Cut and Grind with stylist Jason Ecks and Bill from Massachusetts is in for a beard trim. His growth is great at this point but he would like to focus on the thickness. To clean up this beard we will take up the jaw line for a better angle, balance out the chin length and trim the mustache by cleaning up the strays. For a proper shape with a natural line, this trim is as easy as rounding it out a bit. He can grow in the mustache for some more thickness but still keep it clean by trimming it slightly. From here you can use the scissors to round out the front of the beard while still keeping the jaw line squared. And now we have a manicured beard blended seamlessly into the hair line. Sweet!
