Dreamweaver cs5 tutorial:Css property DISPLAY ( none, block, inline and inline-block)
"Block" Versus "In-line" Elements Block-level elements create vertically distinct blocks of content (in the visual context) - generally using a line-break before and after the content. Only this value for the 'display' is allowed to generate a positioned element. Block behavior is exhibited by such HTML elements as BLOCKQUOTEs, DIVs and Headings (Hn.) 'Display' property values creating a block element type: 'block', 'list-item', 'table, 'compact' and 'run-in' In-line elements do not create distinct blocks of content; element content is rendered using a line box (content is distributed line by line within a containing physical or virtual block element.) In-line behavior is exhibited by such HTML elements as physical and virtual character formatting, non-floated images and unmarked content. 'Display' property values creating an in-line element type: 'inline', 'inline-table', 'compact' and 'run-in'. Difference Between Inline and Block Elements CSS
Block vs inline explained. Why not both? When to use it, how to transform one in another and much more in this tutorial. And your website layout in general. Okay. Inline elements are basically elements that flow, that flows one after each other, for example, add one p tag and add some text inside, as you can see we can add our span, which is an in-line element and says this is span and you can see that our text is inside the text it this text wrap its around, so nothing special, you just add some in-line elements. For example, let's add the big is this is an inline element and say this is big text, and that's it. Inline elements are elements that are inside the text and the text flows around them. Okay, let's move to block elements. Block elements are, for example, our div is a block element and I will explain on this example. Let's add to our div some styling, some styling, I prepare some styles over here in the comment just cut it inside add some width to be 100 pixels, and the height also, and background color to be white. Just to add hex code... and now we can see our div element. For example, if you add, we can add in the span elements, we can add another span element, for example, this is a big text big, we just copy and paste it and it will be in a line, but if we add another div elements, just copy this one here, it will go in another line. Just add some margin so we can better see margin to be up 20 pixels. Okay, so we can see our, our div element so let's add another div element. okay, there's another div element. As you can see the block elements are one below another and our in-line elements are next to each other. But, we have tricks, we can just mash up some these things, and just let's say that are div elements, which are naturally block elements, let's say display, display inline, so they act like inline elements. And what happened? As you can see something is wrong. And that's because inline elements don't support height and width of the elements. Just check this out: if we add to our big, just say it's add to our big element, let's add height for example 100 pixels nothing happens. Width also 100 pixels nothing happens. Because inline elements don't support width and height, but block elements do, so we just need to display these like inline-block. As you can see now our elements are acting just like in-line elements, just like this one, and that but there block elements. What will happen if we add to our in-line elements display to be displayed like a block? They will just fall down ok? I will just add background color so we can see better. And as you can see we changed to block height in the width now have a purpose and we had these white background block but if we add inline-block they will flow next to each other the flow next to each other. So the main difference between the div and in-line between the block and in-line elements is that in-line in line with text and block acts as a block and just add display in-line block or display block to change behavior of that element. So everything can be in-line and everything can be a block element by just by adding these rule display. And this is it, thank you for watching and bye-bye.

React Inline Styles and the Future of CSS
Writing and maintaining CSS for large applications (and large teams) can be challenging. Teams often have trouble with brittle selectors, naming collisions, specificity, and pile-ups of dead code. After seeing these issues first-hand on large projects, we built Radium: a JavaScript library for styling React applications with inline styles. In the context of a React application, inline styling elegantly solves many of the issues with large-scale CSS. It also gives you the benefits of a CSS preprocessor like Sass, with extra power for expressive styling. In the screencast below, I compare the benefits of approaches like Radium to some upcoming and proposed additions to the CSS specification that will help make scalable CSS easy in the future, whether you’re using React or not. I’ll also cover: CSS Modules Shadow DOM CSS Variables and Custom Media Queries Native CSS Extends

Inline Skating in the RAIN - A Good Idea?
Rollerblading in the rain isn't as slippery as you may think. My grippy 82A wheels feel like skating with harder 85A on a dry surface. The big concern is bearings. They suffer a lot from water and dirt. I expect them to last 3-4 sessions on average, and already after the first session they are noticeable reduced. I used Powerslide Twincam ILQ7 bearings.

VIDEO TUTORIAL ABOUT HOW TO STOP ON ROLLERBLADES | HOW TO BRAKE ON INLINE SKATES | BRAKING ON SKATES | | ROLLER BLADING 👉 VISIT USA inline skates shop: https://www.InMoveSkates.com 👉 https://www.IMSkates.com - Online Slalom video lessons for beginners. 👉 Subscribe to our FB page: https://www.facebook.com/inmoveskates 👉 Our instargam: https://instagram.com/inmoveskates Hi this is InMoveSkates and today we will show you 5 tips of how to stop on inline skates. The next way to slowdown is plow or lemon. Lemon is a basic exercise that you have already learnt. First we try to do a very wide flashlight and put both of the rollers to the inner sides, when you do it keep the knees bent, don’t protrude your butt, keep your hips a little bit frontwards. Great. Now we try to press on heels and don’t let tips meet. We did it! Before trying to do it you need to rollerblade good enough and learn to rollerblade on one leg. We need to define a supporting leg, the one which you use when you rollerblade one-foot. First we put the supporting leg on the outer side. As for the sliding leg, we do not put it far behind the supporting leg. We can put arms to the opposite direction. Now the shoulders. We try to keep shoulders in parallel with the hips. Great. This is a very effective way of slowdown. To learn this move you need be able to rollerblade backwards. The knee of the supporting leg must be heavily bent. The sliding leg must be in acute angle to the road, the more acute the angle the better. Keep the weight on the supporting leg. Look in a direction of the move. We move backwards sitting down on the supporting leg and put the sliding leg as low as possible. Now we try to do the same thing after jumping with a turn. Now we put all of our weight to the leg which is besides us and smoothly move the leg with brakes to the front. At this time the knee of the back leg stays heavily bent, keep the weight on the back leg. Now we feel how the brakes slide over the road. From now the more you press the brakes, the more effective your slowdown will be. If any unexpected situation happens, you don’t have enough time to slowdown and there is a nice lawn beside, then why not? Keep your legs at shoulder length, knees heavily bent, keep the weight on heels, one leg goes a little bit in front of the other one. Hey guys, subscribe to our channel and like this video. How I Learned the ICE HOCKEY STOP on Inline Skates
Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYy1V52-ztnqFaiSKpxOz10O9jLrLl33u The Ice Hockey Stop ... on Inline Skates MY STORY Last summer .. my hockey stop was ... not quite perfect. On ice I could do it, no problem, but on inline skates, well... I though maybe a wet surface would do the trick but .. no ... no! Soon I realized that to do a power stop on inline skates you need a completely different approach. Make a sharp turn, put weight through the heel or third wheel, lose grip and ... there you have it .. a slide. It works very well on inline skates, but technically it's a completely different stop. Back on ice .. after getting used to rollerblade stops .. I couldn't stop at all. It was only after a few hours of ice time, that I got used to the ice hockey stop. This made me very curious about why inline and ice stops are so different and I made several videos about it. I tried to analyze what I did right / what I did wrong, what the differences are, experiment and prepare myself for when I'm back on wheels again. One thing I really focused on was controlling my balance point on the blade. Like here, I do hockey stops on the heel - which normally is considered a bad idea - but this is exactly what I need for inline skating. THE INLINE HOCKEY STOP So I told myself today - let's pretend I'm on ice. Do a hockey stop ... but make it more of a heel stop. Not like completely on the heel as I did on ice, but more like the third wheel. First few tries ... not a big success ... but I did try on my weak side. On my strong side ... first two tries ... not that good either. But the thrid ... pretty good. And the fourth ... yeah .. I realized it works! It works! And then I repeated again again again A few more times .. ough ... it's what I feared. The front wheel gripped which caused a nasty rotation. It does look worse than it was .. thankfully .. and I did know this risk beforehand that's why I was so focused on pushing through the heels and not have the balance too far toward the toes. On ice hockey, on the other hand, you do normally put your balance more toward the balls of your feet. And I think this is why, when I got more comfortable / confident, I lost focus and fell back on what I'm used to from ice .. and BAM. So anyway, I didn't get hurt or anything but I really wanted to empasis this risk. It's probably a good idea to have rockered skates where the front and back wheels are a bit elevetad. That will reduce this risk of getting the front wheel stuck. PLAYLIST I've compiled a playlist of hockey stop videos. A few are mine from ice skating so you can watch the steps I've made to improve my hockey stop and eventually prepared me for the inline hockey stop. But other videos are by other inline skaters. They may call it parallel slide or shuffle stop, but it's the same stop - just different names. One difference though - I've seen two different appraoches. Some make more of a sharp turn to trigger the skates to slide, and that's a good approach. But the ice hockey stop is more like you rotate both skates really quick, and the slide then contines in a straight line. So your homework tonight is to analyze these subtles difference and please leave your report in the comments below.

4 Places To Edit WordPress CSS | WP Learning Lab
Grab Your Free 17-Point WordPress Pre-Launch PDF Checklist: http://vid.io/xqRL 4 Places To Edit WordPress CSS | WP Learning Lab To edit WordPress CSS you first need to know all the places you can find CSS. There are 4 common places. You may not have all these locations on your website because some of them are theme-dependent. The possible CSS locations are: 1. The WordPress theme or child theme stylesheet (this one you have for sure) 2. The theme options panel (this one you may or may not have) 3. A CSS editor on each page and post (this one you may or may not have) 4. Inline CSS applied directly to HTML elements on the page (this one you will have only if you're written it) Let's go through each one. The WordPress theme or child theme stylesheet When inside your WordPress dashboard if you click on Appearance then Editor you will be able to edit theme or child theme files. Usually the style.css is loaded first by default. If it's not loaded find the style.css file in the list of files on the right side of the editor page. When you find it, click on it. That will open the CSS file in WordPress editor. At this point you can make edits to the file and click on the Update button to save your changes. How to actually code CSS is beyond the scope of this tutorial, but you can check out my CSS channel over here (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeFLITjl2v9vtIkftw9UMsw) The danger in editing CSS directly in the stylesheet of the main theme is that what you create may be over written when the theme updates. You get around this problem by creating a child theme (see a tutorial on how to create a WordPress child theme here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8n1h-85SMQ). The theme options panel Not every theme has a theme options panel, but the ones that do make WordPress CSS so much easier to edit. You can simply add CSS to the CSS box in the theme options and click save changes. The upside is that theme updates won't erase the CSS code you create. A CSS editor on each page and post Some themes, like Avada and Divi, give you the option of insert CSS code right into the individual posts and pages of your website. This is great for CSS that you want to be only one page. I would only recommend doing this if you're putting more than 100 lines of CSS into the page. If it's less than 100 lines of CSS you're better to put into the main stylesheet so you stay organized. If it's more than 100 lines of CSS code that only need to exist on one page then your site will load a little bit faster overall by not loading all that CSS into every page. Inline CSS The last place in our list and the last place you'd want to create CSS code is right in your HTML elements. This is called inline CSS and can be difficult to work with for two big reasons. First, you can't apply the CSS to more than one element at a time. So if you want to style all the paragraphs on the page in the same way you have to apply the same CSS code over and over again to each p tag. This is a pain to administer and will result in larger than needed page sizes. Second, if you add inline CSS to lots of pages it will be come difficult to remember what CSS you applied where. Then trying to find it an make edits will become a pain. Inline CSS also takes precedent over CSS in the stylesheet. So you might be make changes to CSS in the stylesheet, but nothing is happening on the page. You'll go through a frustrating few minutes before you figure out the CSS is actually inline on the page. I hope this information helps you! Display settings (block, inline-block, inline, and flex) - Web design tutorial
In Webflow (and web design generally), the display setting you set an element determines its behavior in a layout. Generally speaking, elements either stack on top of each other (vertically) or lay out side by side (horizontally), depending on what display setting is used. The beauty is that you can change the display of any element. In this video, we’ll be covering the five display settings available: 1. Block 2. Inline-block 3. Inline 4. Flex 5. None ---------- Get started with Webflow: https://help.webflow.com/courses/getting-started http://webflow.com http://twitter.com/webflowapp http://facebook.com/webflow

Jeep inline 6, 4.0 liter rough idle after restarting (Heat Soak)
This is a 2000 Jeep Wrangler TJ that has an inline 6 cylinder with the 4.0 liter. It was having a rough start for approx. 30 seconds after it was at operating temps and was shut off for a few minutes but less than 30 minutes. I have been told it is a common issue with the inline 4.0 in the Cherokee's, Wranglers and other vehicles with the inline 4.0. The OEM part #'s are 56028371AA = Heat shroud for injector Approx. $11.00 CBXCB060 = Heat shield Approx. $4.00 (does not show for a 2000 or 2001, but is the right part from a recall)

How to create CSS Layouts - Web Development Tutorial for Beginners (#3) - with HTML & CSS
Web Development tutorial for Beginners Lesson 3. In this lesson, we'll cover CSS layouts for beginners, how to build hand coded CSS layouts, and some more intermediate CSS concepts. We'll be building a CSS navigation, using CSS floats, and creating a multi-column CSS layout. A helpful tool in doing web development is the Emmet plugin for Sublime Text. To install it, you'll need Sublime Package Manager (https://sublime.wbond.net/installation). Once package manager is installed, install Emmet by hitting Tools / Command Pallette, then type "package control: install package" and choose Emmet. As you can see in this video, there aren't an infinite amount of css rules. The most commonly used ones are: margin (spacing outside your html element) padding (spacing inside your html element) background (for color or image background) color (font color) display (block, inline, inline-block, none) border-radius (rounded edges) float (float left or right) ** You'll notice I didn't have the correct .row:after code, here it is, it needed content ** .row:after { clear: both; content: " "; display: table; } If you missed videos #1 and #2, here they are: Lesson #1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JluqTojuME Lesson #2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBi8Obib0tw Learn Javascript with the Javascript tutorials for beginners: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGdd9qNwQdQ&list=PLoYCgNOIyGACnrXwo5HMCfOH9VT05znGv

Alex Lande's React Inline Styles and the Future of CSS at CSS Dev Conf
Writing and maintaining CSS for large applications (and large teams) can be challenging. Teams often have trouble with brittle selectors, naming collisions, specificity, and pile-ups of dead code. After seeing these issues first-hand on large projects, I built Radium: a JavaScript library for styling React applications with inline styles. In the context of a React application, inline styling elegantly solves many of the issues with large-scale CSS. It also gives you the benefits of a CSS preprocessor like Sass, with extra power for expressive styling In this presentation, we'll compare the advantages of approaches like Radium to some future and proposed additions to the CSS specification that will help make scalable CSS easy in the future, whether you're using React or not. We'll talk about things like: * Scoped CSS * Shadow DOM * CSS Variables and Custom Media Queries * Native CSS Extends Follow CSS Dev Conf on http://CSSDevConf.com on http://twitter.com/CSSDevConf on http://facebook.com/CSSDevConf

Div element and Span element in HTML or Block level elements and Inline elements - CLASS 11
You can find my site here: http://aniltechie.com/ You can see the code on my blog: https://agrhtml.blogspot.com You can also see my other blogs: https://agrhtml.blogspot.in/p/agr-blog.html Watch my video on my channel and subscribe it: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCv3kupvR4z9CMgzzKth2vPQ Div element and Span element in HTML or Block level elements and Inline elements by Anil Goud Ramagouni. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- SPAN element ( Inline element): _____________________________________ In the HTML language, span element is an inline element that can be used as a container for text. The span element has no special meaning. When used together with CSS, the span element can be used to set style attributes to parts of the text. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- DIV element ( Block element): ______________________________________ In the HTML language, div element is a block level element that can be used as a container for grouping other HTML elements. The div element has no special meaning. Except that, because it is a block level element, the browser will display a line break before and after it. When used together with CSS, the div element can be used to set style attributes to large blocks of content. Another common use of the div element, is for document/page layout. It replaces the "old way" of defining layout using tables. Using table elements for layout is not the correct use of table. The purpose of the table element is to display tabular data.
