10 Famous Founders Who Don’t Usually Show Their Faces

08:23
Some founders of world-famous brand prefer to stay out of the spotlight and keep themselves a secret. We decided to unveil the mystery and show you the 10 founders of super famous brands producing things you sure use every now and then. Howard Schulz, founder of Starbucks, was inspired by the atmosphere of Italian espresso bars and it’s safe to say that he was the one who made the espresso-based beverages popular in the US. Now you can find a Starbucks almost anywhere in the world. Amancio started his business in the ’70s: He made nightgowns and bathrobes with his wife right in their living room. Once, their German partner declined a huge order and the spouses decided to sell clothes on their own. Later, the company was renamed to Inditex and opened new clothing stores: Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear, Oysho, Zara Home, Uterqüe, Stradivarius, Lefties, and Bershka. In 2000, the famous Pandora charm bracelet was created: buyers were able to create jewelry of their own design by putting the charms they wanted on the bracelet. Since then, the company has been growing and the Enevoldsen family are one of the richest people in Denmark. In 1969, the musicians from The Doors were recording the album Morrison Hotel. At about the same time, they accidentally came across a diner named Hard Rock Cafe, and their album was exactly in this music style. They made a few pictures in this cafe and then put the photos on the back side of the album cover. A year later, 2 Englishmen called them — Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton and asked them to let them open a cafe in London named Hard Rock Cafe. At the beginning of the 1930s, Ole Kirk opened a company that made ironing boards and ladders, but he soon started making wooden toys. The word “Lego” consists of 2 Danish words: “leg” (play) and “godt” (good). In 1933, Rene founded a company that made shirts for tennis, golf, and sailing. -Lego was founded by Ole Kirk Christiansen in early 1930s, and its name literally translates as “play good”. -Google was created by 2 students from Stanford University — Larry Page and Sergey Brin. In 1998, they founded a company and registered the google.com domain. -His love for photography and a Holga camera inspired Kevin Systrom to found Instagram. Sprezzatura Explained – DOs & DON’Ts – The Art Of Looking Effortless + How To Pull It Off

15:37
Learn even more about Sprezzatura here: https://gentl.mn/2F3FF9E Get to know the sprezzatura icon, Gianni Agnelli: https://gentl.mn/2HLMuez SHOP THE VIDEO: 1. Wool Challis Tie in Turquoise with Gray, Orange, Navy and Yellow Pattern - https://gentl.mn/2ES5Dgd 2. Light Blue Veronica Persica Boutonniere - https://gentl.mn/2GtT1ca 3. Shadow Stripe Ribbed Socks Light Grey and Light Blue - https://gentl.mn/2EDSNyV First of all, let's define what sprezzatura is. It is an Italian term and meets as much as casual elegance that looks effortless and nonchalant. Even though it's not a term that was super popular 10 or 15 years ago, it actually has quite a bit of history. In fact, it was first used in Castiglione's book of the Courtier which is a classic of Italian Renaissance literature. The goal of sprezzatura was to teach noblemen on how to cultivate an elegant lifestyle while appearing natural and unrehearsed about it. As with many things, sprezzatura has evolved over time. In the last half a century, it has mostly become an idea of imperfection. One person that's very closely connected to sprezzatura is the Italian industrialist Gianni Agnelli. He obviously broke traditional style rules, for example, he wore his wristwatch on top of the shirt cuff rather than underneath. If you go to Pitti Uomo today, you'll see the majority of men will either have a tie that is tucked in or one blade especially the back blade is longer than the front. Agnelli really finds sprezzatura in a way that he cultivated what would otherwise look as a bold style error. The Dangers of Sprezzatura 1. It has its time and place First of all, recognize that sprezzatura is meant for specific situations: you can’t wear loafers without socks when attending the Queen’s Garden Party in Buckingham Palace. The same applies when you’re in court or climbing the corporate ladder. 2. Keep it low key It’s also possible to go too far and end up looking ridiculous and contrived, so restraint is still the name of the game.  Today, sprezzatura tends to look more like the flamboyant style of Agnelli’s grandson Lapo Elkann than Agnelli himself. 3. Try to be original Lastly, sprezzatura is accomplished best when one’s nonchalance is unique, graceful and original. Following the examples you see in photos of Pitti Uomo can, therefore, become its own kind of conformity, and people will know it. How to Spot a Fake Designer Handbag In 7 Steps

04:19
How to choose the real designer handbag and spot a fake handbag? How to differ fake from real easily? Buying a luxury car for men: you have to be very attentive to small details and know everything about your dream handbag. That’s why we decided to create a short yet very useful guide that will teach you how to choose the real thing. TIMESTAMPS Pay attention to details 0:44 Check clasps, buttons, and zippers 1:15 Pay attention to the materials 1:49 Check tags and labels 2:15 Take a closer look at its serial number 2:41 An expensive handbag always has expensive packaging 3:03 Each brand has its very own distinct characteristics 3:25 SUMMARY - All of the stitches should be perfectly even, and there should be no loose threads or any other visual defects or imperfections. All genuine designer handbags are handmade. - Pay special attention to small things like metal clasps, buttons, zipper pulls, plates, and locks. Their quality should be perfect, and they should have a number or a name printed on them, which is another sign of quality and authenticity. - A famous brand doesn’t use rough leather. They only use fine, high-quality materials. When you touch them, you feel like you are in paradise. - Fake items often have the brand names printed in different fonts, smudgy letters, or even with misspellings. Tags and labels are always a giveaway. - The label with the number is sealed and attached in a special way, making it impossible to remove without damaging. Fake items usually have a sticker with a number that has just been glued somewhere on the surface. - An expensive designer handbag always has expensive packaging, often made of the highest-quality materials. The package your precious bag comes in should have no color defects whatsoever. - Before visiting a store, do some research on the specific attributes of the chosen brand. Remember – each brand has its very own distinct characteristics. Do you know other ways to recognize fake bags? Share your experience with us in the comments down below! Italian vs. American vs. English Men's Dress Shoes & What Distinguishes Them - Gentleman's Gazette

10:26
This video was made in collaboration with AceMarks, purveyor of Italian Men's Dress Shoes with a great bang for the buck. #dressshoes #acemarks #mensdressshoes Currently, they have a Kickstarter where you can get a pair of shoes for under $200: http://bit.ly/get-your-acemarks CHECK OUT OUR IN-DEPTH GUIDE TO SHOES, HERE: https://gentl.mn/what-makes-italian-shoes-different SHOP THE VIDEO: 1. Shadow Stripe Ribbed Socks Light Brown and Blue - https://gentl.mn/2FCAzSP 2. Brown Madder Silk Pocket Square - https://gentl.mn/2FEqbtW What makes Italian shoes different from English or American shoes? Hallmarks Of Italian Shoes Italy has a long-standing tradition in craftsmanship and specifically, in leather goods. Because of that, you can find lots of shoemakers still in Italy, as well as many shoe factories. Even in Europe, Italy has probably the highest density of bespoke shoemakers you can find. It's the same with tailors, shirt makers and other crafts especially related to menswear. One thing that always struck me about Italian bespoke shoes is that even a shoemaker in a small town has a very good eye for an elegant last. Not so in Italy; the construction you find in Italian bespoke shoes is usually a hand-sewn Goodyear welt. Sometimes you can also find the Norwegian welt which is called Norvegese in Italian and it's more visible, it is more time consuming and not many other shoemakers are so much in love with that welt as Italians are. Are Ace Marks The Best Italian Shoes Money Can Buy? Absolutely not, however, that's not their focus. They try to sell a shoe that is fairly priced with a very high-quality level and an extremely great value level at a lower price. So let's have a closer look at Italian made factory shoes such as Ace Marks. It's All About The Leather Italians are very good tanners and because of that, most Italian shoes are made of Italian leather. Unlike in other countries, you can find entire towns dedicated to leather tanning and it's just a joy to see that that craft is still so very much alive in Italy today. So when you look at quality Italian Shoes, they will likely have a hand burnished patina with either something darker areas and lighter areas which makes the shoe more lively, easier to combine, and it simply looks much better than a plain colored leather shoe. Shoe Construction Most quality Italian shoes are either Blake-stitched or Blake rapid stitched. Blake rapid is superior to just Blake and very similar to Goodyear in the sense that it's more complex but with Blake sometimes you also have the issue that the thread will transport water from the wet street directly to the inside of your shoe which can be quite uncomfortable. Shoe Quality In terms of costs, they're all very similar to each other including the machine-made Goodyear welt. In terms of quality, many would rate Goodyear welt on top of the bunch however, that's not necessarily true. A Goodyear welted shoe just has different characteristics than let's say a blake rapid shoe. Ultimately what matters more is the design of the last and how it works with your foot. When it comes to heel height Italian shoes have been all over the place. In the 70s, you saw really really tall heels but today, you can mostly find a moderate heel which is perfectly suitable for every kind of man. Overall I would say that Italian shoes are always a little more fashion-forward, they have lasts that are longer, maybe a little rounded, maybe a little more extreme, they're usually very stylish, and always put emphasis on elegance. What About English Factory Made Shoes? In my experience, they're generally a little stiffer which means the uppers are a little stiffer, the soles a little stiffer, and that's because they use the Goodyear welt method, machine welted almost exclusively in every factory I've ever seen. What About American Shoes Such As Allen Edmonds or Aldens? Just like English shoes, they're machine Goodyear welted and their lasts are generally a little more old-fashioned. Some people may call it clunky but overall, it's just a different type of last. Overall, I say American shoes are more similar to English shoes than Italian shoes but obviously, that's a generalization. You can always find exceptions to the rule. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? ►11 Most Expensive Clothing Brands In The World◄

●11 Most Expensive Clothing Brands In The World Great Video ►Next Top Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0Dfh2r5A2I Designer everything! We gathered a list of the worlds most expensive clothing brands in the entire world. Who is number 1? ►Don't Forget to Subscribe! 6. Versace Versace first launched in Milan’s Via della Spiga in 1978 and has only gained in popularity since. Jennifer Lopez was famously adorned in a green Versace dress at the 42nd Grammy Awards, a dress which has been voted the 5th most iconic dress of all time. With 80 boutiques and a workforce of 500 strong Versace is one of the most expensive clothing brands on the planet. The logo of the versace brand is Medusa, a greek mythological figure. The Versace children used to play on a floor of ruins in Rome and this is where they got the idea to use Medusa in the first place. Their revenue was nearly 500 million pounds in 2013. 5. Giant Bra Experts were hard at work designing this hilarious giant bra for who knows what reason. But hey it made you click on this video so it's served its purpose. Amazing, big, probably useless, just what you would want in an industrial sized bra. A pink bra was unveiled at the ITV Southbank Tower for breast cancer awareness that had a cup size of 1222B and measured over 100 feet around the chest, making it by all accounts the world’s largest bra. In human proportions the bra would fit a woman with a 34B bust. The bra was made for British based Breast Cancer Campaign and took over 4 thousand square feet of lightweight nylon. The fabric it took to make the bra weighed 165 pounds. 4. Prada Italian fashion lines litter the list of most expensive clothing brands and Prada is no exception. Italian brothers Mario and Martino Prada humbly opened their doors in 1913. Since then Prada has blown up and become one of the most recognizable names in the fashion industry. Today they employ over 12 thousand people and have annual revenues that regularly surpass 4 billion dollars. Prada makes some of the finest clothes and products in the world. Its net income was 333.3 million pounds and the company had 3.91 billion dollars in revenue for the year 2015. When the Prada shops first opened they sold leather good and imported steamer trunks and handbags. Mario Prada did not believe in women being involved in the business so he prevented female family members from joining the company. Ironically it would be his daughter Luisa who would run the company as Mario’s successor for two decades and then her daughter Miuccia, would take over in 1978. 3. Dolce and Gabbana Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce started this iconic Italian clothing brand in 1985. They specialize in footwear, cosmetics, perfumes and clothes. With strong marketing techniques and quality products this company has left an indelible mark in the fashion world and is sure to continue to do so in the coming years. They employee over three thousand people and won the Woolmark award in 1991. They also were named the most feminine flavor of the year in 1993. Sales would topple 500 million towards the end of the 1990’s. In 2003 the two men who started the brand were named Men of the Year by GQ Magazine, a publication aimed at middle aged men. Their models also performed an excellent Mannequin Challenge for this advertisement. 2. Chanel With headquarters in Paris, France this fashion icon has become the New England Patriots of the fashion world, they always seem to be on or somewhere near the top of the fashion world. Alain and Gerard Wertheimer Chanel founded the company in 1990. They specialize in haute tailoring, ready to wear clothes and fashion accessories. They have incredible revenues of believe it or not 8 billion dollars. They have a workforce of over 1200 strong around the world. Famous celebrities like Nicole Kidman, Catherine Deneuve and Vanessa Paradis have proudly rocked Chanel in public outings. 1. Gucci When you think Gucci it's hard not to think luxury. And that's because the brand and the idea have become practically synonymous. Guccio Gucci founded the iconic brand in 1921. Gucci was an immigrant hotel worker who saw a lot of high end luggage that made an impression on the young man. With his three sons the man expanded the company to include stores in Milan and Rome with shops in Florence. Today the brand makes clothing, small leather items, handbags, fine footwear and jewelry and sunglasses. All of the stuff they make is top of the line and really expensive. They tailor to famous and rich people of all age groups around the world. As of 2009 Gucci operated 278 stores. In Forbes World’s Most Valuable Brands list Gucci ranked 38th with a brand value of 12.4 billion as of May 2015. The creative director of the line is Alessandro Michele. ●Thank you for Watching! ●Subscribe! ➥Goot Luck!

Visit the online shop, click here: http://calozero.it/ Italian fashion; Italy is one of the leading countries in fashion design, alongside others such as France, USA, Great Britain and Japan. Fashion has always been an important part of the country's cultural life and society, and Italians are well known for their attention to dressing-up well; "la bella figura", or good impression, remains traditional in the Italian way of living. Italian design became prominent ever since the 11th-16th centuries, when artistic development in Italy was at its peak. Cities such as Venice, Milan, Florence and Vicenza started to produce luxury goods, hats, cosmetics, jewelry and rich fabrics. During the 17th-early 20th centuries, Italian fashion lost its importance and lustre, and Europe's main trendsetter became France, with the great popularity of French fashion; this is due to the luxury dresses which were designed for the courtiers of Louis XIV. However, since the 1951-53 fashion soirées held by Giovanni Battista Giorgini in Florence, the "Italian school" started to compete with the French haute couture, and labels such as Ferragamo and Gucci began to contend with Chanel and Dior. In 2009, according to the Global Language Monitor, Milan, Italy's center of design, was ranked the top fashion capital of the world, and Rome was ranked 4th, and, despite both cities fell down places in subsequent rankings, in 2011, Florence entered as the 31st world fashion capital. Milan is generally considered to be part of the "big four" global fashion capitals, which, aside from the Italian city, consist of New York City, Paris and London; occasionally, the "big five" also includes Rome. Examples of major Italian fashion houses are: Gucci, Armani, Emilio Pucci, Valentino, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferragamo, Roberto Cavalli, Trussardi, Versace, Krizia, Etro, Miu Miu, Laura Biagiotti, Max Mara, Fendi, Moschino, Missoni, Bottega Veneta, Benetton and Brioni (fashion),to name a few. Italy also is home to many fashion magazines, such as Grazia, Vogue Italia, Amica, Flair, Gioia. Other Italian accessory and jewelry brands, such as Luxottica and Bulgari are amongst the most important in the world. Fashion in Italy started to become the most fashionable in Europe since the 11th century, and powerful cities of the time, such as Venice, Milan, Florence, Vicenza and Rome began to produce robes, jewelry, textiles, shoes, fabrics, ornaments and elaborate dresses.Italian fashion reached its peak during the Renaissance. As Italy is widely recognized as the cradle and birthplace of the Renaissance, art, music, education, finance and philosophy flourished, and along with it, Italian fashion designs became immensely popular (especially those worn by the Medicis in Florence. The fashions of Queen Catherine de' Medici of France, were considered amongst the most fashionable in Europe). Florence is regarded by some as the birthplace and earliest center of the modern (post World War Two) fashion industry in Italy. The Florentine "soirées" of the early 1950s organized by Giovanni Battista Giorgini were events where several now-famous Italian designers participated in group shows and first garnered international attention. Florence has served as the home of the Italian fashion company Salvatore Ferragamo since 1928. Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, and Emilio Pucci are also headquartered in Florence. Other major players in the fashion industry such as Prada and Chanel have large offices and stores in Florence or its outskirts. Florence's main upscale shopping street is Via de' Tornabuoni, where major luxury fashion houses and jewelry labels, such as Armani and Bulgari, have their elegant boutiques. Via del Parione and Via Roma are other streets that are also well-known for their high-end fashion stores. - Abbigliamento uomo donna autunno inverno primavera estate CALOZERO clothing Made in Italy giubbotti jackets clothes dress wear dressing Fashion Style Beauty Designer Collection Mode Modeling Vogue Role Dior Armani Dolce Designers Boutique Jeans Pants Boots Tight Outfit Flash Dresses Modelling Fancy Jacket Hats Shorts Wearing Gloves Silk Shiny Dirty Satin Glasses Pink Wet Shoes Lace Outfits Coat Suit Shades Lycra Thigh Scarf Accessories Stocking Uniform Costume clothing clothes apparel dress wear attire dressing garb raiment array rig luxury CALOZERO clothing Made in Italy. Get cool watches here... http://geni.us/9tU9 Get genuine Diesel watches here... http://geni.us/yYj7ff Diesel S.p.A. is an Italian retail clothing company, located in Breganze, Italy.[3] It sells denim, and other clothing, footwear, and accessories. The clothing line has two different brands: Diesel and Diesel Black Gold. There is also a line for children, called Diesel Kid. The company is known for its surreal advertising campaigns. Since 2013 the creative director has been Nicola Formichetti.[2][4] Diesel also has a luxury fragrance line which is owned and produced by L'Oréal. Diesel founder Renzo Rosso began stitching jeans on a sewing machine at the age of fifteen. He used his mother’s sewing machine to produce low-riding, bell bottomed jeans, which he would wear himself and sell to his friends for 3500 lira a piece. He later attended an industrial textile manufacturing college in Padua.[5] In 1976 Rosso began working for a clothing manufacturer called Moltex, which was owned by Adriano Goldschmied. After working with the company for two years, he used a loan from his father to buy a 40% holding in the company, which changed its name to Diesel, and marketed jeans under the Diesel brand and many others.[6] Rosso bought out Goldschmied's interest in the Diesel brand name in 1985 for US$500,000, becoming the sole owner of the company.[6] Rosso has said that he learned marketing from the US, creativity from Italy, and systems from Germany.[7] In 1990 Russ Togs, Inc. received the license to market and distribute Diesel lines in the United States and Mexico. Mitsubishi Co. received the license to market and distribute in Japan.[8] By 1991, Russ Togs was going out of business, and sold Diesel Sportswear to Rosso upon ending the licensing deal. As a result of Russ Togs collapse, the creation of made in the USA Diesel products never came to fruition, and Diesel instead placed its made-in-Italy jeans and clothing in US stores.[9] In 1992, Diesel became the title sponsor for the World Superbike racing circuit.[10] In 1995, Diesel launched one of the first significant fashion retail websites, which housed images of each of its collections. The first Diesel jeans to be sold online were available in Finland and Sweden starting in 1997. It then opened a virtual store that allowed home delivery for further markets the following year.[11] Diesel store in Kraków, Poland In 1996, Diesel opened large flagship stores in New York City, San Francisco, Rome, and London, and began to open other mono-brand stores for Diesel in order to augment its points of sale in department and other multi-brand retails stores. Further flagship stores (also known as “StyleLabs”) opened, including stores in Berlin, Barcelona, and Paris.[12] Diesel also produces illustrated catalogs for its retail lines.[13] The company also won the Premio Risultati award for Best Italian Company of the Year from the Bocconi Institute in 1996.[14] In 1998 The Wall Street Journal called Diesel “the label of the moment”. Diesel founder Rosso began purchasing additional fashion companies in 2002, under the parent company Only The Brave, which Diesel was brought under as well. Companies purchased by Only the Brave included Maison Martin Margiela, Viktor & Rolf, Marni, and licensing company Staff International.[15] In 2005 Diesel released the book “Fifty” upon Rosso’s fiftieth birthday, an illustrated history of the company, with a print-run of ten thousand.[16] Diesel's denim's products are produced exclusively in Italy, with many of its products produced by out-sourced factories. Its headquarters are in Breganze, and had twelve international subsidiaries as of 2005.[13] As of 2008, the company had five thousand points of sale across eighty countries, with 270 mono-brand Diesel stores. Diesel itself owns 170 of those, with the rest owned by franchisees.[17] Turnover was over €1.3 billion in 2009,[7] and by 2010 the company had over 400 stores. In 2012 Diesel founder Rosso was listed on the Forbes list of billionaires for the first time.[18] In 2015 the company held the exhibition Welcome to Diesel World in Shanghai, which provided an overview of the company’s history, in conjunction with its collection debut.[19] Another exhibition was held in Tel Aviv to mark the company’s twentieth year in Israel.[20]

Indonesian sneaker company making its mark on the global footware industry

05:11
Italy has long been famous for producing high quality footwear. Major leather shoe brands started in Italian workshops before stocked and sold in fashion stores in big cities around the world. But Indonesians don't have to go that far. A workshop in an outskirt of Indonesia's capital Jakarta is producing Italian quality sneakers that supply international demand as well as Indonesian local stores. 'SomeAreThieves' is a high-end sneakers brand created in 2011 by Enrico Nicolin, a Jakarta-based Italian designer who in the past 13 years, has been cooperating with some of Italy major fashion brands. Nicolin travelled to Jakarta in the late 1990s to visit his father who worked in a manufacturing company. The holiday visit turned to work when his father put him in the technical and production division for an export oriented footwear department. Over the years, he discovered a passion for style and began designing footwear products where sportswear blend with fashion, minimalism and modernism. He then decided to create his own urban footwear. The brand name was inspired by Nicolin's childhood game in Italy, Cops and Robbers. 'SomeAreThieves' sneakers are made from scratch in Indonesia. They are designed in Jakarta, washed and dyed in Banten, and manufactured in West Java. Indonesia has been producing sport shoes for international major brands for thirty years. For that reason, Nicolin says Indonesians are more skilled in making sneakers than others in Asia. Nicolin adds that strong local craftsmanship makes it easy to create high quality sneakers. " You can actually achieve things here that are difficult to achieve in other places because once your worker, your operators understand what you actually want, what kind of feeling you want in the product, you can get a very sophisticated (product) in terms of workmanship," Nicolin says. 'SomeAreThieves' sneakers are targeting the growing hip and vibrant young adult customers. The styles are diverse but hold a common identity recognised in their unusual colour schemes, inventive shapes and heavy-duty soles. The brand also has its own fashion cycle instead of following the European fashion cycle. It launches a fresh batch of styles every two months, in series called "Capsules". In November 2013, 'SomeAreThieves' opened a combined showroom and restaurant in an affluent area in Jakarta. Nicolin says everything in the restaurant is a reflection of his brand. Customers enjoy distinctive ambience and fusion food while also shopping for their fashionable sneakers. The restaurant named the "Safe House" is aimed to promote 'SomeAreThieves' as an international brand made in Indonesia. Jakarta resident, Desti collects 'SomeAreThieves' sneakers, and says she is proud to wear the brand. "These sneakers are different compared to the other brands. They are sneakers but made of full leather, and they are made locally, makes me proud to wear it." Desti says. The products now stocked in trend-setting fashion stores in Milan, Copenhagen, Singapore and Perth. 'Goods Dept', a curated department store based in Jakarta has been selling 'SomeAreThieves' since 2012. The store sells independent Indonesian designer products and selected international brands says 'SomeAreThieves' met their quality standards. "There are plenty of local brand shoes in the market, but their quality are quite low. The quality of 'SomeAreThieves' met our product standard" says Elizabeth Shinta Soedjarwo, Goods Dept Buyer. 'SomeAreThieves' is limiting its production to 300 sneakers per-cycle to ensure consistent quality and to keep its image as a high-end brand. Nicolin is currently in talks to stock the sneakers in fashion stores in Japan, Hong Kong and other cities in Europe. Worth Every Penny - 12 Expensive Products For Men That Are Worth Their Money - Gentleman's Gazette

Learn more about the products mentioned, here: https://gentl.mn/expensive-things-worth-the-price Also check out 10 cheap but awesome items here https://www.gentlemansgazette.com/cheap-items-worth-their-money/?utm_campaign=social-lead-gen&utm_medium=video&utm_source=youtube&utm_content=12-worthy-things&utm_term=youtube-description How To Combine Socks, Shoes & Pants - https://gentl.mn/2A3E4vf How High-End Leather Gloves Are Made - https://gentl.mn/2z2l2HL 100 USD vs. 500 USD Men’s Dress Shoes - https://gentl.mn/2znutlY #notsponsored #gentlemansgazette #musthaves What are the twelve expensive items that are worth their money? 01:02 Leather Weekender Most quality leather bags will likely run you around $1,000 or more simply because of the high-end leather. 02:10 Quality Socks At $40, it is relatively expensive and if you go with materials like silk or cashmere, you go out to 75 or $100- $120. 03:24 Overcoat Yes, you can find overcoats for less than 200 dollars but a quality overcoat from natural materials such as wool, or cashmere, will run you at least a thousand dollars or more. 04:41 Well-fitting Gloves Usually price point wise, you have to invest between hundred fifty dollars, if you want to go with peccary leather, we're talking more about three hundred plus dollars. 05:50 Precious Metal Cufflinks Price-wise, it can range all the way from 300 dollars up to $25,000. 07:28 Pinky Rings They're just a wonderful addition to a classic gentleman's wardrobe and it's not something a lot of other people will wear. 08:06 Montblanc Meisterstuck Of course, there are lots of other great manufacturers of fountain pens. Italian ones such as Omas, maybe Parker, or you name it, however, the Montblanc Meisterstuck pen has been around for a very long time. 09:44 Goodyear Welted Shoes Which style you want heavily depends on what kind of lifestyle you live. A good year welted pair of shoes is usually made from a higher-quality leather than a glued pair of shoes. 11:11 Quality Belt I know belts are probably not something you might deem expensive because you can find them for $10 but you can also find some for $3,000. 13:22 Professional Camera I know most people today use cell phones and they think they are pro cameras but they're actually not. 14:39 Wallet A wallet is something you wear every day, you pull it out when you maybe pay for a business meal, and overall, it develops a nice patina if it's made of quality letter. 15:16 Smartphone Personally, I'd love to buy a modular phone so I could do exactly what I want without creating too much waste because as you know, with the technological advances in the smartphone market, we've new things coming out every month almost and because of that, we have a lot of old phones that are just discarded which is a huge waste and a big ecological problem. - Abbigliamento uomo donna autunno inverno primavera estate CALOZERO clothing Made in Italy giubbotti jackets clothes dress wear dressing Fashion Style Beauty Designer Collection Mode Modeling Vogue Role Dior Armani Dolce Designers Boutique Jeans Pants Boots Tight Outfit Flash Dresses Modelling Fancy Jacket Hats Shorts Wearing Gloves Silk Shiny Dirty Satin Glasses Pink Wet Shoes Lace Outfits Coat Suit Shades Lycra Thigh Scarf Accessories Stocking Uniform Costume clothing clothes apparel dress wear attire dressing garb raiment array rig luxury Clothing Made in Italy. $100 vs $500 Men's Dress Shoes - Hallmarks, Quality, Differences & Cost Per Wear Cheap vs Expensive

10:40
Learn all about the difference between $100, $200-400 and $500 Men's Dress Shoes For a more comprehensive guide, click here: https://gentl.mn/100-vs-500-usd-dress-shoes-men Two-Tone Knit Tie in Red and Navy Blue Changeant Silk: https://gentl.mn/2kZ4GZD Edelweiss Boutonniere: https://gentl.mn/2kdcEil #shoes #mensshoes #notsponsored We will discuss how you can tell the difference between quality and cheap shoes so you get only the best value for your money. QUALITY HALLMARKS OF SHOES: $100 shoes 1. Faux Stitching. It's simply glued and it's there merely decorative to make it look like a more expensive shoe but it's all glue. 2. Welt at the bottom. That is probably just a blake stitch or a blake rapid stitch. A composite material that is meant to look like leather. 3. Execution. More often than not, the stitching that you see at the top of the shoe is just injection molded so it's not a real stitch and it's simply meant to be deceitful. 4. Inferior Leather. Stiffer leather that is sanded and pigmented with dye to hide all the flaws. It creases very easily when you walk in it and will age very poorly. 5. Unrefined lasts. They can be a little chunky, have kind of a boxy toe, and overall wide so they fit every kind of foot. 6. Low quality interior. Manufacturers put all kinds of foam inside to make it feel nice and soft to the foot. The foam wears out quite quickly. 7. No color variations. You get black, brown, or tan, and that's about it! $200-$400 shoes 1. Blake construction and the blake rapid. These are also sewn but less expensive than goodyear welted. The advantage of blake construction is that you get a thinner sole that is softer. The disadvantage is that when you're outside, and it's wet, and it rains a lot, your feet may get wet. Also, the lack of cork in a blake construction shoe makes it less comfortable when you stand a lot or walk a lot. $500 shoes 1. High quality leather. Dyed all the way through. It has open pores that develop a patina over time. 2. Hand burnished finish from the factory that gets darker towards the toe. 3. Construction. In terms of construction, $500 shoes are almost exclusively goodyear welted that means, you have a welt here on the outside, and another welt that connects it in combination with the cork and sole which makes it much more comfortable to wear. 4. Heel caps and toe caps. Must be made of thermoplastic leather unlike cheaper shoes which are made of plastic. 5. Refined lasts. You also get a much better finishing in the details. 6. Variety of colors. Even if you have the nicest suits, a beautiful tie, a good shirt, and nice cuff links, cheap shoes will overall bring your outfit down. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Most Popular videos: How to accept a compliment - https://youtu.be/_EKXNmM1PUo 101 things that change when you dress up - https://youtu.be/JyGDd_iYaCI How to tie a Bow Tie - https://youtu.be/2I3cfa0BOOc --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? 5 Dress Shoes Every Man Must Have - What Leather Men's Shoes To Buy - Which Ones To Purchase First

10:52
This video was brought to you in collaboration with AceMarks. You can find all the leather shoes shown in the video on their website: https://gentl.mn/five-dress-shoes-you-need #shoes #dressshoes #gentlemansgazette CODE: gentleman Make sure to use the code gentleman to get an even better deal! Interested in the shoes I'm wearing? Check out: https://www.acemarks.com/ First, by the way, all of the shoes you can see here are from Ace marks, a supplier of handcrafted Italian men's dress shoes and I liked them because they are hand burnished and they provide a really good value under $300. I've had their shoes in my closet from the beginning and I liked them quite a bit because they fit me extremely well. One, the black oxford. Why should you invest in this shoe? It's an all-time classic, especially as a captoe. You can wear it for business, you can wear it to the funeral, and you can wear it for any kind of formal event out there. Also, unlike brown, black comes just in one shade and so you don't have to invest in dozens of black shoes but one is really a staple that you must have. So how do you wear a black oxford? You can wear it with two-piece suits, three-piece suits, particularly in navy, charcoal, and grey, and any kind of other business appropriate suit. It's also good with blazers, maybe a navy blazer with gray flannel slacks or you can wear it with your tuxedo for Black Tie events, your dinner jacket, alternatively, also for white tie or for formal morning dress. The second shoe style I'd invest in if I started all over again is the Brown Derby full brogue wingtip. So why would I go with this shoe? Well, first of all, a Derby is less formal than an Oxford. The Derby has an open lacing system and because of that, it's more flexible so when your feet are tired and they swell and get bigger, it's a more comfortable shoe than an Oxford. Because of that, I like it for traveling. I would choose a medium brown color such as this antique brown cognac from Ace Marks; it's very versatile and because they are hand polished and hand burnished, you see different shades of brown at the tip of the shoe than for example at the bottom. The third shoe style I'd invest in is a loafer. Why a loafer?Well basically, it's a slip-on shoe, it's casual, it's an entirely different style from the other two, yet it's a timeless classic. It's really easy to dress up or down and they come in different variations; you can have tassel loafers and sometimes people think they're old-fashioned yet you can actually have them quite young looking and modern but if you don't like that, go with a penny loafer because they're really classic and they're called that way because you used to be able to put a little penny in the front opening. For versatility, I'd go with a different shade in brown than you chose for your Derby wingtip. The fourth shoe style I'd invest in is a double monk strap in a reddish color because it's very versatile, it's stylish, and it's young, and it's just different than all the other shoes that you already have in your wardrobe at this point. This model from Ace Marks comes in a brandy antique Brown which means it was hand polished and hand burnished to achieve different color tones. The fifth shoe style I would invest in is a half brogue Oxford in a medium brown. Here I have an Ace Mark shoe in a lighter antique tan which is once again different than all the other brown tones in my wardrobe. It has a captoe with nice broguing, a medallion, and it's less casual than the full wingtip Derby shoe. I'm adding it to the collection because it's kind of an in-between the more formal Oxford and the more casual Derby. It fits right in between because it doesn't have a wingtip but it has broguing, yet at the same time, it's an Oxford and not a Derby. So if you invest in these five shoe styles, you truly have an extremely versatile dress shoe closet and you can hold off on investments and maybe invest in other parts of your wardrobe. #dressshoes #mensshoes #acemarks --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SHOP THE VIDEO: 1. Hermes Ties - Is It Worth It? Or Is A $180 Hermès Tie Too Expensive?

Are Hermès ties really worth it? Find out here https://gentl.mn/is-it-worth-it-hermes Also, stay tuned for our guide on how to spot a fake Hermès tie. Navy and Yellow Shadow Stripe Ribbed Socks - https://gentl.mn/2xBURVF More of our IS IT WORTH IT Series, here: https://gentl.mn/2JhCF8u #hermes #ties #isitworthit In a world of iconic menswear, men's ties are certainly up there with the Burberry trench coat which by the way, you want to know if a Burberry trench coat is worth it or not , please check out this video here. Generally, you know you're doing something right even an entire industry is here to fake your products and that's the case with Hermès ties. Finding a used one is almost like a gamble if you don't know what to look for and stay tuned for another video where we discuss how you can identify a fake Hermes tie from a genuine one. For this video, we'll assume you buy one directly from Hermes so you know what you get is the real deal. In the US, Hermes ties have a price tag of a $180. In Europe, it's a little less. In Australia, it's a little more but overall, it's right around that price point. So are Hermès ties worth it? Of course, the answer is it depends! If you're someone who really likes printed whimsical motifs, these little animal prints then Hermès is definitely the way to go. Also, if you're looking for more unusual colors such as fuchsia ties or chartreuse green maybe some orange tones, Hermès will likely have a shade that you can get. Also, if you're a Wall Street banker or if you work in finance and you want to fit in with your company culture, an Hermès tie is certainly the way to do that. That being said, personally, I'm not a big fan of whimsical motifs on ties and I prefer different textures so Hermès ties are not the ideal tie for me. I have a bunch of them including vintage ones and new ones but frankly, I don't wear them a whole lot anymore. The ones I wear the most are probably the woven ties, they are somewhat simple and don't look like a typical Hermès tie. With many other luxury products, you pay a lot for the name but you get average to mediocre quality. On the other hand with an Hermès tie, you certainly pay for the name but you also get a quality product. On top of that, genuine Hermès ties usually yield quite high prices even when they're used. Of course, they have to be in pristine condition which ties rarely are if you actually wear them and on top of that, you have to prove that it's actually a genuine product which can be very hard unless you have the specific receipt with a photo of the tie. Of course, if you give all the Hermès ties you don't want any longer to a store, they have to mark them up and ultimately, you don't get much for used Hermes ties anyways. Also if you're shorter than 6 foot or 183 centimeters, Hermes ties may be too long for you and all you can do is tie a really big knot which may often not work with your head size. Also if you're really a tall man and you want more variety in your ties, Hermès is not the right place for you. I also think they're not worth buying used unless you know very well what you're doing, otherwise you may pay top dollar for what turns out to be a fake. Personally, I also like ties to have different widths, my favorite width is about nine centimeters or three and a half inches, and it's not a niche served by Hermes at all. Building up an entire Hermes tie collection can be rather expensive. If you buy 12 ties you're already down more than $2,000. Now they certainly use high quality materials including their silk but when I was looking for silks for our Fort Belvedere ties, I met Weavers who would actually produce jacquard woven silks for Hermes and we get ourselves from the same vendor at the same quality standards yet Fort Belvedere ties cost a lot less especially if you buy more and get the volume discount. Hermes on the other hand doesn't offer any volume discount. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? Flat Cap Guide - How To Pick A Newsboy Cap - Gentleman's Gazette

Learn to pull off the newspaper boy cap here: https://gentl.mn/flat-cap-guide SHOP THE VIDEO: 1. Madder Silk Tie in Dark Ruby Red Macclesfield Neats - https://gentl.mn/2hJzIEI 2. Brown Socks with Green and Cream Clocks - https://gentl.mn/2wuge9C So first of all, what is a flat cap or a newsboy cap? Obviously, I'm wearing one here right now and it's made out of a woven fabric. It's not knitted, there's no felt, like in typical menswear hats, overall, it has a very level and trim silhouette based on the one-piece construction, meaning, the top is made out of one piece of fabric and then you have seams on the side to get the distinct shape. Another characteristic is that the body off the top part of the hat is pulled over the brim. Generally, it's either sewn on or snapped on, that way, you get a triangular side profile that gives the hat its characteristic shape. Over the years, the flat cap has gotten many monikers so it's known as newsboy cap, cabbie, gatsby, IV, Jeff, duffer, duckbill, driving, you name it. If you want to learn all about the monikers, please check out the guide on our website here. So how do you wear a flat cap? First of all, if you get something made out of tweed just the way I'm wearing it here right now, you always will make sure you have a certain amount of contrast between the fabric on your hat and the rest of your outfit. Definitely, avoid flat caps that are very similar in color but not the same because that just looks off; it's like pairing a navy suit with a black pair of pants. Second of all, do shape the brim to your taste; that means you can actually move it like this and to curve it a little bit, you can tilt your hat and get the exact look you want. Don't wear your flat cap backwards because it just looks awkward. This is not a baseball hat, after all, it is more stylish brother. Four, don't worry a flat cap in the summer because it simply makes you overheat and sweat and it's unnecessary. Five, don't wear a flat cap unsnapped. Sometimes, you'll find flat caps that can be unflapped, however, that's a style that's usually associated with women in the 70s. So how should you buy a flat cap? First of all, it's important that it fits comfortably on your head. The flat cap was originally made from tweed by the wool fabrics or sometimes even cotton and that reason you should stick with those materials. In my opinion, tweed is really the best material because it has the depth of color, it keeps you warm, it's hard wearing, and it's just a wonderful fabric. To learn more about tweed, please check out our in-depth tweed guide, here. Sometimes, I've also seen denim caps or maybe leather caps or faux leather ones. I personally don't think it's a very advantageous look and I'd rather stick with the classic stuff. For that same reason, I stay away from patchwork flat hats or multi-pattern caps because they're simply too loud. Just like a bold red or really loud blue and green hat. The good thing about tweed is usually it comes in more subdued colors that suit the fall-winter season. At the same time, the color composition of the fabric is comprised of a range of different ones so it's very easy to combine it with other items in your wardrobe even though they don't match and contrast. So whenever you find flat caps that are either too bold or come in small, medium, and large, I suggest you skip them unless you know that they will fit you and that you'll like to wear them and they won't just be a fashion item that you have to throw away after a season. if you want to learn more about flat caps and what brands you might want to buy please check out our full guide on the website here. Last but not least, if you think a flat cap makes you look dated just browse the Internet and look for pictures of David Beckham or people like Brad Pitt which are obviously mainstream media celebrities and they can still pull it off and do so on a regular basis. #flatcap #newsboyhat #notsponsored -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Most Popular videos: How to accept a compliment - https://youtu.be/_EKXNmM1PUo 101 things that change when you dress up - https://youtu.be/JyGDd_iYaCI How to tie a Bow Tie - https://youtu.be/2I3cfa0BOOc --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? Ivanka Trump Sued For Allegedly Copying Shoe Designs

01:17
Luxury footwear label Aquazzura is inflicting pain on its competitors, and not just in the form of sky-high heels. The Italian brand slapped Ivanka Trump and her eponymous shoe line with a trademark lawsuit Tuesday, accusing her of copying its designs. The lawsuit states that Trump’s line, which is licensed by co-defendant Marc Fisher, is guilty of “repeated infringement” and “deceptive trade practices” by knocking off Aquazzura’s “Wild Thing” sandal. Referred to in court documents as one of the brand’s best-known and best-selling models, Wild Thing retails for $785. Trump’s “Hettie” shoe, above right, retails for $145 and does bear a striking resemblance to its pricier predecessor. In court filings, Aquazzura said it previously complained to Trump about two other shoes that bear stark similarities to their “Forever Marilyn” and “Belgravia” designs, including photos of both versions. Matthew Burris, CFO of Marc Fisher, said in a statement to The Huffington Post Wednesday that the lawsuit is “aimed at generating publicity.” “[The Hettie shoe] is representative of a trending fashion style, is not subject to intellectual property law protection and there are similar styles made by several major brands,” he said. “The lawsuit is without merit and we will vigorously defend ourselves against the claim.” Copyright infringement suits similar to this one have peppered the footwear and fashion fields. Industry giant Steve Madden has settled with at least two luxury footwear brands over similar-looking designs, and who could forget the painfully long squabble between Christian Louboutin and YSL regarding the right to a red sole? As fast fashion brands regularly produce less expensive versions of high-end items, labels are fighting back. Aquazzura’s founding designer Edgardo Osorio started fighting back on social media well before the lawsuit was filed. A quick perusal of his Instagram shows his disdain for Trump’s practices started as long as 15 weeks ago, if not earlier. But Osorio was quick to point out his problem is with the industry, not Trump personally, as he explained to Footwear News in May. “I have nothing against Ivanka Trump,” he said. “It’s not only her, and I’m glad to [call others out on Instagram also]. I plan to do the same with Steve Madden and other people who have ripped us off.... Sometimes I look at the buys in department stores, and I see copies of my shoes. We need to be harder with our retailers. They need to protect us. You can’t cannibalize one business with another.” Aquazzura didn’t return a request for comment by the time of publication, but we have a feeling Trump and the rest of the shoe industry will be hearing from them — and their counsel — for a while.
