How to Fix “Low Back” Pain (INSTANTLY!)

The irony is, a lot of times what we feel is rooted in the lower back is actually caused by muscles not in the back at all. In this video, I’m going to show you how the glute medius could be the real cause of your back pain and a quick exercise you can do to relieve your discomfort instantly. Once gone, I’m also going to show you a few additional exercises you can do to make sure your low back pain never returns. The gluteus medius is sandwiched between the glute maximus and minimus and lies in and around the hip area. The role of the muscle is to abduct your hip or lift your leg out to the side in either standing or side lying and to keep your pelvis level whenever you take a step. Prolonged sitting during the day as well as an unequal weight distribution when standing are two of the most common reasons for this muscle to get weak and imbalanced. You can quickly test to see if you have the makings of a weak glute medius by standing with your feet shoulder width apart and lifting one foot off the ground. First take note whether or not your opposite hip drops significantly. If it does, this would indicate a glute weakness on that side. You would repeat with the opposite foot as well. When you do this you would also want to see if you had to dramatically shift your weight to one side just to lift that foot off the ground. If you do, this would indicate that you have an unequal weight distribution when standing and it would be especially troublesome when squatting. To fix this quickly, you will want to lay down on the ground with your affected side on top. If your right lower back was bothering you then you would want to lie on your left hip. From here, take your thumb and place it on the area most sore. You should feel that this is going to happen just to the outside of the bony prominence of your pelvis. From here, push to hold back the trigger point and start flossing your leg down and in front of you and then back and up. Your hip should be extended and then lifted into abduction towards the ceiling (being sure to point the toes down to keep the glute medius in focus). Do this about 10 times until you feel the tension in the muscle release. Now, you can burn out the spasm in the trigger point by getting into the fully contracted position of the glute medius muscle and holding as long as you can. Generally, because this muscle is often very weak, this may not be any longer than 30 seconds to a minute. Once you cannot hold it any more you will stand up and you should notice an immediate relief of the pain on that side. This is the quick but not permanent fix for this problem. Since the underlying cause is weakness in the gluteus medius muscle you will want to back this up with some exercises for your low back that you can do a few times a week. I show you three options for this. The first is the hip bump against the wall. The second is called the sack swinger, and can be done with a dog leash if you don’t have a formal dip belt. The last is actually doing the same movement that you did for the treatment, but this time as a strengthening exercise for your low back. Whatever you do, just be sure you are consistent. You will also see that as you relieve the tension in this muscle that your squat performance improves as well. Your depth should be increased and any low back pain that you felt by doing the exercise should be gone since you will now be able to do them with equal force through each leg. They make us suffer on purpose so they can laugh at us by nagging us in relationships. It makes them feel complete and when we experience pain that they cause they know we are emotionally invested in them. It's natures cruel joke and men are the butt of it. But ironically women get furious when we laugh at their pain and suffering. Just laugh at a woman's pain and see what happens. If they have us on the emotional ropes most of the time, trying to prove our worth, than we don't see that the boxing match we are participating in with them is rigged. The first link in the description is to a video from the CBC here in Canada and according to the cuck broadcasting corporation men do experience more severe cold and flu symptoms than women do. Apparently the reason is that Testosterone is an immuno-suppressant. So if the man has more testosterone the more the common cold is going to knock him off his feet. In that link there are two men and two women discussing this and even with the science the women are laughing at men's pain. The video also mentions that between 2004 to 2010 in Hong Kong, men had a higher risk of hospital admission when they got the flu. If you know any women in your life than you know that when they get sick they are far more likely to hypochondriacs. So if men are walking themselves into the hospital for treatment more than women when it comes to painful common flu and men tend to be far more willing to take pain instead of seeing a doctor. There has to be something to it. Your body craves stabilization, particularly in the area of the spine. If you have any type of instability in this crucial area, your body will find ways to compensate to create the strength that you lack. In the best case scenario, your abs and core would be providing the stability that your spine needs. Unfortunately, often times this is not the case. Weak core muscles and abs in particular can cause your body to seek out alternative muscles to provide the help that is sorely needed. The hip flexors are prime targets of this request. This becomes problematic since the hip flexors attach to the sides of your lumbar vertebrae. When these muscles tighten up in order to provide additional stability they begin to pull on the vertebra in your lower back and lead to imbalance and often times pain. The stabilization is there, but it’s not coming from the right muscles, and this is a problem. So, what are we told to do to rectify the back pain we are feeling from having tight hip flexors and a tight low back? We are told to stretch the muscles in our hips and lower back. This is a big problem and actually the exact opposite of what you need to do to overcome your problem. You have to stop looking solely at the site of the symptoms and instead look for the cause. In this case, you would have seen that the weak abs are a root of the issues you are having in your hip flexors and lower back. But it’s not that simple. Maybe you are told correctly that you have to get stronger abs and a strong core so you start doing all kinds of ab exercises to help you do that. Unfortunately, if you choose the wrong ab exercises (not that they are bad at all, they are just wrong for your particular condition) you could wind up making your lower back pain and hip flexor tightness worse. Many different ab exercises enlist the help of the hip flexors as a prime mover. This occurs a lot in lower ab exercises but can also occur in things as simple as the crunch. If you allow your ab training to include too many of these you will wind up simply over strengthening the hip flexors more and leads to a vicious cycle of more pain. Start following the ab and core exercise alternatives you see in this video for a great way to get a stronger core without overtaxing your hip flexors. There are plenty of options for you to do, just maybe not the ones you would have immediately thought of. Start with these and you will see how much more quickly your tightness will go away when your ab and core strength starts providing the stability your back was craving all along. The hip flexors and lower back will finally be able to take a much deserved break. The neck muscles that are affected the most are your trapezius and levator scapulae muscles. People often describe neck pain as a crick in their neck. First start off with some gentle neck stretches by bringing your chin to your chest and then looking up towards the ceiling. This is neck flexion and extension. Next you are going to take your ear to your shoulder on each side. Make sure you are not shrugging your shoulders up. This is side bending. Then you are going to turn your head from side to side like you are looking over your shoulder. This is neck rotation. If that is not painful, then you can add some overpressure with your hands. Now place your hand under your thigh to keep your shoulder down, then side bend your head to the opposite side and gently put pressure with your other hand to get a stretch through your trapezius muscles. Hold these for 30 seconds and perform 3 times on each side. The final stretch is going to be for your levator scapulae muscle. This is the muscle that is used when you shrug your shoulders, and they can get overworked when you are stressed out. Take your arm on the side of the pain and place it above and behind your shoulder. Then take your opposite arm and place on top and slightly behind your head. Look down towards the opposite knee of the pain and apply gentle pressure for a good stretch. Knee Exercises for Pain Free Leg Workouts (NO MORE PAIN!)

Build ripped, athletic legs without knee pain with this workout… http://athleanx.com/x/build-ripped-athletic-legs-without-joint-pain Performing leg workouts and leg exercises can be difficult when dealing with knee pain. In this video, I show you two very big reasons why this happens, and most importantly, what leg exercises you should start doing to eliminate the knee pain and build stronger legs. I put on my physical therapist hat for you to explain the nuances of each exercise and what it means for you depending on your particular source of knee pain. To start, you have to consider the type of knee pain you are dealing with. There are 4 very common sources of knee pain when working out. The first comes from the common osteoarthritis. This is the degeneration of the surfaces of the cartilage in the knee joint that often results in the bone on bone condition that can be painful during knee exercises and leg workouts. In general, exercise that cause you to drop down too low can be a problem for those that have this condition. The second common source of knee pain is patellar tendonitis or patellofemoral syndrome. This particular type of pain will cause knee dominant exercises that displace the tibia forward as you perform the movement to be very problematic. With this type of knee pain, you need to fill your leg workouts with exercises that keep your shin more vertical as you perform them. Likewise, having a torn ACL that has not been repaired successfully or not at all, will cause your knee to be unstable and susceptible to pain when performing certain leg exercises. When the ACL is not intact, your tibia will translate forward on your femur causing the knee to be unstable during leg exercises that cause the shin to tilt when performing them. As you’ll see in the video, this includes exercises like ass to grass squats and forward lunges. Finally, if your knee pain is coming from a torn meniscus, you will also want to be sure to control the depth of your leg exercises. Causing too much flexion at the knee (particularly under load) will cause a meniscus to become much more susceptible to being pinched and painful. You must select exercises that control the depth of your knee bend if you want to keep your leg workouts pain free. You can select from exercises such as reverse lunges, step ups or the bulgarian split squat as long as you step out far enough when setting up to perform it. Knee pain is a very common problem for those that work out. It becomes especially problematic when the pain you have in your knees prevents you from being able to do your leg workouts in the first place. This just leads to more weakness in your legs and knees which leads to more problems down the road.
