Breaking: China Warns U.S. Never Sails And Fly In South China Sea Again, As Pence Visited The Region hina bluntly told the United States to stop sending ships and military aircraft close to islands claimed by Beijing in the South China Sea, during talks Friday that set the stage for a meeting between President Donald Trump and President Xi Jinping later this month. The U.S. pushed back, insisting it will continue to "fly, sail and operate wherever international law allows." In late September, U.S. and Chinese vessels nearly collided near a disputed reef. _____________________ COURTESY - VOA NEWS

US drops the gauntlet on the South China Sea SUBSCRIBE my channel here: https://goo.gl/F8gn4Z G+ here: https://goo.gl/UzMJVe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When US Vice President Mike Pence flew on Tuesday over the South China Sea in transit to the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (Asean) summit in Singapore, his air force plane passed within 50 miles of Chinese outposts in the contested Spratly Islands. Upon landing at the summit, attended by regional leaders, Pence said his overflight was a type of “freedom of navigation” operation and that it was a message to China that the US “will not be intimidated” by Beijing’s warnings against US operations in areas it claims in the maritime region. Must-reads from across Asia - directly to your inbox While Asean and China continue to negotiate a “code of conduct” in the disputed areas, talks that have been ongoing since 2002, President Donald Trump’s administration has made clear through toughened rhetoric and action that it won’t accept any final agreement that undermines or infringes on its interests in the area. In recent months, the US Navy has upped the frequency of its Freedom of Navigation Operations (FONOPs) in the South China Sea. Earlier this month, for the first time, the US openly called on China to reverse its recent deployment of missiles and other advanced military assets to the area. The South China Sea disputes were front and center at the recently concluded US-China Diplomatic and Security Dialogue in Washington, where US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defense Secretary Jim Mattis held “frank and open” discussions with China’s senior Politburo member Yang Jiechi and Defense Minister Wei Fenghe. At the meeting, American officials “called on China to withdraw its missile systems from disputed features in the Spratly Islands, and reaffirmed that all countries should avoid addressing disputes through coercion or intimidation,” according to a Pentagon statement. Tensions rise in the South China Sea after reports suggest Chinese missiles could sink US Navy ships

Tensions rise in the South China Sea after reports suggest Chinese missiles could sink US Navy ships SUBSCRIBE my channel here: https://goo.gl/F8gn4Z G+ here: https://goo.gl/UzMJVe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The US Navy has been checking China’s growing military dominance in the Pacific with aircraft carriers, but a new US government report says they could be sitting ducks for Chinese missiles. The report highlights “China’s anti-access/area-denial capabilities,” or Beijing’s ability to use long-range missiles to keep US systems, like aircraft carriers, out of the combat zone. China has purpose-built missiles to destroy US aircraft carriers, and lots of them. The US government called for swift action to address the issue – or the US could lose its next . The US Navy just released an impressive video of two of its aircraft carriers exercising in the Philippine Sea, but a new report from the US government said these massive floating air bases could be sitting ducks for Chinese missiles. The USS Ronald Reagan and the USS John C. Stennis carrier strike groups conducted “high-end dual carrier operations” during the training in November, a US Navy statement said. The two carrier strike groups include guided-missile destroyers – meant to protect the carriers and other important assets – which trained with the carrier’s complex air, surface and antisubmarine warfare operations, according to the Navy. The Navy said the exercise was dedicated to preserving a “free and open Indo-Pacific,” which has become code for countering Beijing’s growing dominance in the South China Sea. But even with two massive carriers, eight other ships, and about 150 aircraft flying overhead, the US government itself strains to believe it can stop China from locking down the region. “If the United States had to fight Russia in a Baltic contingency or China in a over Taiwan, Americans could face a decisive military defeat,” a report from the National Defence Strategy Commission – a bipartisan panel of experts handpicked by Congress to evaluate the 2018 National Defence Strategy – explained. BREAKING: U.S. Warns China With Naval Showdown In South China Sea, Amid Destroyer Confrontation The US Pacific Fleet has proposed a series of exercises for November that would see American warships and aircraft demonstrating US military might in disputed waterways in a message to Beijing, CNN reported, citing several defence officials. While one official reportedly characterised the plans as "just an idea," others indicated that the proposal, which already has an operational name, is being circulated at various levels of the military. The proposal means US ships and aircraft will be operating close to Chinese forces and is expected to trigger a strong reaction from Beijing. ______________________ COURTESY - CNN

How America Should Respond to China's Moves in the South China Sea

10:13
For decades, Chinese leaders have followed Deng Xiaoping’s strategy of “hiding one’s capacities and biding one’s time.” Since Xi Jinping came to power, however, Chinese policymakers have been employing slogans that suggest the adoption of a more assertive strategy, emphasizing China’s “dream of a strong nation” and the need to “actively strive to accomplish something.” Nowhere is this new and more active doctrine more apparent, and potentially dangerous, than in the disputed waters of the South China Sea . Since the end of the Chinese Civil Battle, Beijing has laid claim to the entire South China Sea, all the way down the coasts of Vietnam and the Philippines to the shores of Borneo 1,700 miles away. A glance at a Chinese map of the “ nine-dash line ” delineating Beijing’s claims shows what a vast area this is. China is not just claiming open water, however. Over five trillion dollars’ worth of shipping passes through the South China Sea each year, and it is full of productive fishing grounds and potentially vast energy resources that nations might be willing to fight for. The strategic value and importance of the area is clear.

U.S. B-52 bombers fly over South China Sea, angering Beijing

01:58
美 B-52 전략폭격기, 또 남중국해 비행...中, 강력 반발 Two U.S. B-52 bombers flew over the South China Sea this week,... infuriating Beijing. The move came a couple of days before U.S. defense chief James Mattis and his Chinese counterpart met to discuss a number of issues,... including their disputes in the hotly-contested area. Lee Seung-jae reports. Two B-52 U.S. bombers ripped over the South China Sea on Tuesday,... a move many say was a power play,... signaling Washington's determination to continue to fly and sail wherever international law allows. The move also came ahead of a key meeting between the defense chiefs of the U.S. and China on Thursday. While the Pentagon did not specifically identify which islands the aircraft flew by,... open-source flight tracking data shows they may have been near the Spratly Islands. That's the location of a recent showdown between a U.S. warship and a Chinese destroyer,... as two vessels nearly collided. Following that incident,... U.S. Vice President Mike Pence warned that his country "will not stand down". Watchers says the flight was intended to send a message that the U.S. will not change its behavior in response to China's aggression at sea,... while Beijing described the flights as "provocative". China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday that Beijing always respects and upholds the freedom of navigation and overflight enjoyed by other countries under international law. It added that it firmly opposes countries that act to undermine the sovereign and security interests of other countries and disrupt regional peace and stability under the pretext of 'freedom of navigation and overflight.' However, according to reports from the Associated Press,... the meeting between the defense chiefs was described as " straightforward and candid",... with Pentagon officials saying relations with the Chinese military may be stabilizing. Breaking News: Taiwan Will Spark Tensions In South China Sea

10:08
Breaking News: Taiwan Will Spark Tensions In South China Sea Taiwan, normally quiet in the tense six-way South China Sea sovereignty dispute, is likely to raise suspicion among the other claimants with a live-fire drill near the sea’s biggest natural island, observers say. The Taiwanese coast guard will conduct “routine” live-fire exercises November 21-23 around Taiping Island in the Spratly archipelago, a spokesman for the agency said Monday. Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense declined to say whether naval units would participate. Because Taiwan normally says little in the broader South China Sea dispute — it controls just two of about 500 tiny islets — and has no formal diplomatic relations with the other five claimants, its activity may cause pushback as other disputants, including China, try to get along better, say analysts. “I don’t know what is meant by routine here, but if it is some sort of military exercise, I don’t think it is routine,” said Oh Ei Sun, who teaches international studies at Singapore Nanyang University. “That would definitely upset the status quo,” he said. “And you have to prepare to face the consequences. That means others will stage similar exercises and there will be a new round of mutual condemnations.”

Who owns the South China Sea? SUBSCRIBE my channel here: https://goo.gl/F8gn4Z G+ here: https://goo.gl/UzMJVe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Vice President Mike Pence has stoked tensions between the US and China by insisting that the South China Sea does not belong to any one nation. In recent weeks, the US has angered Beijing by conducting a series of “freedom of navigation” exercises in the contentious waterways, a move that China views as a threat to its sovereignty. Addressing an Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit in Singapore on Friday, Pence said:  “The South China Sea doesn’t belong to any one nation, and the United States will continue to sail and fly wherever international law allows and our national interests demand.”Multiple countries claim sovereignty over the South China Sea, and the stakes are high. Each year around $3trn (£2.33trn) of shipborne trade passes through the waterway, which is also home to large fishing grounds and possible reserves of oil and natural gas, reports Reuters. What the UN saysThe South China Sea is bordered by Brunei, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, says Sydney-based think tank the Lowy Institute. Economic growth in the region in recent years has led to a significant increase in the amount of commercial merchant shipping passing through the channel, which is also an important route for importing goods to countries including Japan and South Korea. Following rising tensions between these various parties in the 1980s, the United Nations drafted a Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), which came into force in 1994.The deal was intended to balance the economic and security interests of the countries involved by dividing the sea into Exclusive Economic Zones - 200-nautical-mile stretches of water extending out from the coastline of each border nation - and making the rest international waters. To enforce this, third-party nations conduct “freedom of navigation” military operations i... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BREAKING - U.S. WARNS CHINA With B-1B Bombers Overfly South China Sea

10:38
BREAKING - U.S. WARNS CHINA With B-1B Bombers Overfly South China Sea The United States again flew bombers over the disputed South China Sea this week, U.S. officials disclosed Wednesday, a move likely to intensify the already fraught tension between Beijing and Washington. This is at least the second time this month the U.S. has flown bombers over the area. China has long claimed ownership of a vast swath of the South China Sea, an important international trade route through which billions of dollars worth of cargo is shipped annually, and it holds potentially billions of dollars worth more in untapped mineral resources. The area China claims stretches far below its southern coast, hugging and sometimes overlapping the shorelines of Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines, all of whom have made their own, smaller, claims in the region. China argues it has had sovereignty over the area going back hundreds of years, first issuing a map showing the area as a part of their country in the 1940s. The nation has spent years trying to protect its claim by building military installations on artificially created islands, replete with naval vessels, nuclear bombers, and fighter jets. The U.S. regularly tries to undermine China by sending ships and planes into the region on “freedom of navigation” missions, displays of defiant disregard for the claim. _______________________ CREDIT - VOA NEWS

Breaking News: Chinese Military WARNED United States Provocation In South China Sea #Welcome to the ALNEWS Channel! ====================================================================== Chinese military on Saturday voiced firm opposition to a U.S. Navy warship's entry into waters around China's islands and reefs in the South China Sea. "The USS Decatur guided missile destroyer arbitrarily entered waters off China's islands and reefs in the South China Sea on Sept. 30," said Wu Qian, spokesperson with the Ministry of National Defense, noting that a Chinese navy vessel carried out identification and verification procedures in accordance with law and warned the U.S. vessel off. "China has indisputable sovereignty over the islands in the South China Sea and their adjacent waters. "Currently, with the joint efforts by China and ASEAN countries, the situation in the South China Sea is developing towards a stable and positive direction. "However, the U.S. side has sent warships into waters near China's islands and reefs in South China Sea time and again, which has posed a grave threat to China's sovereignty and security, severely damaged the relations between the two militaries, and significantly undermined regional peace and stability. ====================================================================== ➥ My video does not contain nudity or sexually explicit, dangerous or harmless content, is not bloody or violent, does not provoke hatred. SUBSCRIBE my channel here: https://goo.gl/F8gn4Z G+ here: https://goo.gl/UzMJVe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The USS Ronald Reagan. (By Associated Press) TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – With just four days left to local elections in Taiwan, the United States aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan was signaled in the South China Sea and was expected to arrive in Hong Kong on Wednesday morning. Earlier, the same carrier and the USS John C. Stennis, which together had 150 jets on board, conducted air, surface and anti-submarine drills close to the Philippines. The movements were generally explained as a U.S. warning to China about the importance of the free passage of ships in the South China Sea and the area in general, reports said. While the USS John C. Stennis was still close to the Philippines, statements from the U.S. military indicated that the USS Ronald Reagan had joined the frigates USS Antietam and USS Milius, which recently passed through the Taiwan Strait, for more maneuvers in the South China Sea, the Liberty Times reported. Records from the Hong Kong harbor authorities showed that four U.S. warships were due to dock early on November 21. The list named the vessels as the USS Ronald Reagan, Curtis Wilbur, Chancellorsville and Benfold. In Taipei, Defense Minister Yen De-fa (嚴德發) said U.S. military activities in the region were designed to maintain peace and stability, while Taiwan’s military had the capability of monitoring such activities in the area. Taiwanese voters go to the polls Saturday to elect mayors, county magistrates and other local office holders, while also voting on 10 referendums. The military activity also comes as China’s President Xi Jinping (習近平) is paying a two-day visit to the Philippines. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Duterte’s call to end ‘adventurism’ in South China Sea SUBSCRIBE my channel here: https://goo.gl/F8gn4Z G+ here: https://goo.gl/UzMJVe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- President Rodrigo Duterte has called on nations to desist “adventurism” in South China Sea, as he reaffirmed the importance of peace and stability in the disputed sea, Malacanang said a day before Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit. Duterte made the call during the recently concluded 33rd Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Summit and Related Summits in Singapore, where he urged his fellow Southeast Asian leaders and their dialogue partners to refrain from carrying out acts that may further escalate tensions in the disputed sea. “In his national statement, the president reaffirmed the need to maintain and promote peace, stability, security, safety and freedom of navigation and overflight in the South China Sea and stressed the need to exercise self-restraint and avoid actions that may further complicate the situation,” Malaca?ang said in a statement. “The president asserted that aggressive moves by nations can worsen the situation with damage that could be exponential. The president urged stakeholders to desist from adventurism in the South China Sea,” it added. The Philippines is the country co-ordinator for the Asean-China dialogue. Manila, one of claimants to a number of features in the disputed waters which it calls the West Philippine Sea, scored a victory against China in 2016 before a United Nations-backed tribunal that invalidated Beijing’s “nine-dash line” claim to the vital sea lane. Under Duterte’s leadership, however, the Philippines has refused to flaunt the victory and antagonise China, in exchange for better economic ties with the world’s second largest economy. Duterte, as country co-ordinator for Asean-China dialogue relations, maintained that a code of conduct (CoC) in the South China Sea should be implemented at the soonest time possible. “He (Duterte) reaffirmed Asean and China’s shared commitment to the full and effective impl... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Breaking News: Japan Conducts UNPRECEDENTED Military Campaign To STOP China In South China Sea Warfare exercises in the disputed South China Sea over the past two months reveal a sustained, long-term escalation of Japanese activity in a region where Tokyo has strategic interests that include keeping Beijing in check. “Clearly Japan wants to send a message to Beijing that China doesn’t get to do anything it wants in the South China Sea,” said Jeffrey Kingston, history instructor at Temple University Japan. “They are forging relationships with other nations in the region, conducting joint naval exercises, all of this to in a way show Beijing that we are not going to just let you claim the South China Sea as Lake China.” On Monday, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe pledged to work with Vietnam on security in the South China Sea. News Alert - French And British Ships To Sail Through South China Sea, Supporting U.S. British and French warships will sail to the disputed South China Sea in a display of naval strength that may satisfy domestic audiences but ruffle the waterway’s major stakeholder, China, and lead to more militarization, analysts say. Vessels from the two European naval powers, which have no South China Sea claims of their own, will use the event to justify military spending at home, experts say. Their voyage would also prove the mettle of French defense technology and help the United States keep the sea open internationally, despite China’s increasing control. __________________________________________________________ CREDIT - VOA NEWS, ROYAL NAVY, MARINES NATIONALE

Alert - U.S. Warns China, Force Is "Consistently" Present In South China Sea

10:23
Alert - U.S. Warns China, Force Is "Consistently" Present In South China Sea The U.S. response to China’s controversial actions in the South China Sea is “consistency,” the Navy’s top admiral said. Speaking in an exclusive interview with VOA, Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson said the United States Navy has been “at about the same force levels” in the South China Sea for about 70 years. “Nothing has elevated too much or decreased too much. We've been pretty steady,” he said. China and the U.S. strongly disagree on territorial claims in the sea's international waterways. China considers much of the sea its territory — overlapping with the territorial claims of other nations — and has created hundreds of hectares of artificial islands to bolster is territorial claims. The U.S. frequently conducts freedom of navigation operations in the South China Sea to dispute China's claims and to promote free passage through international waters that carry half the world's merchant fleet tonnage, worth trillions of dollars each year. Richardson said the U.S. Navy has advocated rules and norms that have “fueled the emergence of the Asian economies.” “We're going to consistently be there,” Richardson said, “and we'll be ready to advocate for those up and down the spectrum of competition, as needed.” ______________________ CREDIT - VOA NEWS

BREAKING NEWS: URGENT Aircraft Tanker Needed To Compete With China Military In South China Sea

10:07
BREAKING NEWS: URGENT Aircraft Tanker Needed To Compete With China Military In South China Sea The U.S. military urgent needs more tanker aircraft squadrons to compete with a modernizing Chinese military, Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson said Wednesday. “The challenge in the Pacific is the tyranny of distance, and that means tanker squadrons are very important,” Wilson told members of the Senate during a hearing Wednesday on Air Force readiness. The Air Force recently announced plans to increase the number of tanker squadrons — needed to refuel military aircraft in flight — from 40 to 54 by 2030. “When we project into the 2025, 2030 timeframe, our pacing threat, we believe, is China,” Wilson said. The secretary’s comments follow recent U.S. military “freedom of navigation” operations, which dispute Chinese claims in international waters and promote free passage in waters where half the world’s merchant fleet tonnage transit. U.S. Air Force B-52 bombers conducted transit operations in international airspace over the South China Sea and East China Sea last month, which the Pentagon called part of its “continuous bomber presence” in the region, and China called “provocative.” The new tanker plans are part of proposed squadron increases across the Air Force. Wilson said the increases support the Trump administration’s new National Defense Strategy, which prioritizes great-power competition with China and Russia over counterterrorism efforts. ____________________________________ CREDIT - VOA

High Tension - Recent developments surrounding the South China Sea

A look at recent developments in the South China Sea, where China is pitted against smaller neighbors in multiple disputes over islands, coral reefs and lagoons in waters crucial for global commerce and rich in fish and potential oil and gas reserves: This is a weekly look at the latest developments in the South China Sea, the location of several territorial conflicts that have raised tensions in the region. CHINA DEMANDS END TO US OPERATIONS China has demanded the United States stop sending ships and military aircraft close to its South China Sea island claims during talks to prepare for a meeting between President Donald Trump and President Xi Jinping. The U.S. pushed back Friday, insisting it will continue to “fly, sail and operate wherever international law allows.” In late September, U.S. and Chinese vessels nearly collided close to a disputed reef. Carpio: China does not own South China Sea SUBSCRIBE my channel here: https://goo.gl/F8gn4Z G+ here: https://goo.gl/UzMJVe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The South China Sea does not belong to China or any state, Acting Chief Justice Antonio Carpio asserted Friday, contrary to the claim of President Rodrigo Duterte. “China is in physical possession of the entire Paracels, seven geologic features in the Spratlys, and Scarborough Shoal. These geologic features, and their territorial seas, constitute less than eight percent of the total area of the South China Sea,” Carpio, one of the leading figures in the Philippines’ arbitration victory against China, said in his prepared speech for a convention. “Factually, China is not in possession of the South China Sea,” he added. His statement comes a day after Mr. Duterte’s remark that China is “already in possession” of the disputed sea route. “China is already in possession. It’s now in their hands. So why do you have to create frictions, military activity that will prompt a response from China?”  Duterte told reporters on the sidelines of the 33rd Asean Summit in Singapore. China claims nearly the entire South China Sea, including waters within the exclusive economic zones (EEZ) of Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Taiwan. In July 2016, the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, ruling in a maritime case filed by the Philippines, invalidated China’s sweeping claims. But Duterte has downplayed the victory in favor of economic investments from China. “Like all other coastal states in the world, the Philippines has exclusive sovereign rights to explore and exploit the natural resources in its EEZ in the West Philippine Sea, which is part of the South China Sea. If China can possess the South China Sea, then the Philippines cannot exercise its exclusive sovereign rights in the West Philippine Sea,” Carpio said. The United States and other powerful countries have been sailing both on the high seas and EEZs in the South China Sea to assert freedom of navigation... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

US tells China to remove missile systems in South China Sea SUBSCRIBE my channel here: https://goo.gl/F8gn4Z G+ here: https://goo.gl/UzMJVe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- China has been warned by the United States to dismantle its missile systems shield deployed in the disputed Spratly Islands chain in the South China Sea. The move, believed to be the first time Washington has directly addressed the issue, came in a statement following high-level talks at last week’s second annual US-China Diplomatic and Security Dialogue. Trade tensions were expected to dominate the meetings in Washington. But it was the military buildup in the South China Sea which was brought into sharp focus during discussions between US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis and their opposite numbers, Beijing’s leading diplomat Yang Jiechi and Defense Minister General Wei Fenghe. “The United States called on China to withdraw its missile systems from disputed features in the Spratly Islands, and reaffirmed that all countries should avoid addressing disputes through coercion or intimidation,” the US statement said. Concerns have been growing among Southeast Asian nations and Washington that China was slowly establishing an air defense zone around previously uninhabited islands, reefs and atolls in one of the world’s most important sea lanes. US and allies Military bases have been constructed as Beijing flouts international law, claiming the islands are integral parts of China. The US and its allies have been told by President Xi Jinping’s administration to stop sending ships and aircraft near what the world’s second-largest economy considers to be sovereign territory. In response, Mattis has made it clear that the US will “fly, sail and operate wherever international law allows.” During the past year, the US and its allies have conducted maneuvers in the South China Sea, which is vital for global trade with goods and products worth between US$3 trillion and $5 trillion passing through vital sea routes. “The Chinese side made it clear... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

China Threatens 'Necessary Steps' Against Philippine Ships in South China Sea

05:17
✅ Top Stories Today - The Chinese Foreign Ministry replied to a warning from Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte this week by reminding Manila that Beijing is comfortable taking “necessary steps” against ships it believes are sailing near Chinese territory in the South China Sea, the ministry said on Thursday. China claims nearly the entire South China Sea; the Foreign Ministry’s warning essentially threatens action against Philippine vessels in any part of the sea, including sovereign Philippine territory. Duterte remarked in a speech this week that he hoped China would “temper its behavior” in the South China Sea and avoid further antagonizing its neighbors. The Foreign Ministry responded to Duterte in a statement sent to Reuters, in which it asserted that the Spratly Islands, which legally belong to the Philippines and Vietnam, “were China’s inherent territory.” China also claims territory in the sea that belongs to Malaysia, Brunei, and Taiwan. ✅ Video/Thumbnail Picture just For Illustration ✅ What do you think of this video? US B-52 Bombers tore through the South China Sea In a Show of Force Amid China Tensions Two US B-52 bombers flew near contested islands in the South China Sea Tuesday, according to a statement from Pacific Air Forces. The two B-52H Stratofortress bombers, which are based in Guam, "participated in a routine training mission in the vicinity of the South China Sea," the statement said, adding that the flight was part of US Indo-Pacific Command's "Continuous Bomber Presence operations" which have been ongoing since March 2004. The Pentagon would not confirm which islands the B-52s flew by, but recent tensions have focused on the Spratly Islands. Read more: https://cnn.it/2pWxdzO

Breaking: CHINA Strong Warning As U.S. Operates F-35B Fighter Jet In East China Sea

Breaking: CHINA Strong Warning As U.S. Operates F-35B Fighter Jet In East China Sea Several F-35B Lightning II, stealth attack fighter jets, conducts operation over the East China Sea. During the operation, F-35B perform aerial refueling mission with KC-130J tanker aircraft above the sea. The F-35B belongs to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121 (VMFA-121), and the KC-130J belongs to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 (VMGR-152). VMFA-121, part of the Aviation Combat Element for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is the Marine Corps’ only forward-deployed F-35B squadron – as part of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, the squadron provides fixed-wing attack capabilities across the Indo-Pacific region during Marine Corps, and Navy amphibious operations. The move comes just as China stronly vow to defend Taiwan and South China Sea at any cost. China's Defence Minister Wei Fenghe made the remarks on Thursday at the opening of the Xiangshan Forum in Beijing, which China styles as its answer to the annual Shangri-La Dialogue security forum in the wealthy city-state of Singapore. "If someone tries to separate Taiwan from China, the Chinese armed forces will take action at any price," Wei warned. China's military ties with the United States are important and sensitive, he said, adding Taiwan is a "core" interest and Beijing opposes displays of strength by "outside forces" in the South China Sea. Beijing has been infuriated by recent US sanctions on its military, one of a growing number of flashpoints in ties with Washington that include a bitter trade war, Washington's backing of Taiwan, and the US' military posture in the South China Sea.

China Issues six warnings to US plane flying past South China Sea islands

✅ Top Stories Today - HINA’s armed forces told a US Navy reconnaissance plane to “leave immediately” on six separates occasions today during a tense flight over the South China Sea. The P-8A Poseidon jet was flying close to disputed territory over the South China Sea when the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) issued the series of alarming warnings. Flying at an altitude of 16,500ft, the P-8A swooped within view of a number of artificial military islands constructed by the Chinese military in the hotly contested sea. A CNN journalist was aboard the P-8A plane, dubbed the “submarine killer”, when it flew past four major artificial islands apparently stockpiled with military structures, buildings and aircraft. As the Poseidon passed by the Subi Reef, Fiery Cross Reef, Johnson Reef and Mischief Reef, the PLA told the US Navy crew to withdraw from the area six times. "US military aircraft, this is China ... leave immediately and keep out to avoid any misunderstanding," a representative of the PLA said. On each occasion, the US Navy crew aboard the plane refused to obey their orders. ✅ Video/Thumbnail Picture just For Illustration ✅ What do you think of this video?
