See The Users that have Running Processes on Linux System

02:22
This video shows how to see all the users that have running processes on your Linux systems. I used 'ps aux' to list all the running processes on my system Then I piped the outout of 'ps aux' to 'awk {print $1}' to filter the output and get only the first column of 'ps aux' which is the USERs list Then I piped the output of previous commands and sorted the output using 'sort' command. Then I piped the output of 'sort' command to 'uniq' command to get only the unique lines. Then I discarded the USER line from the output using 'greo -v USER' Thanks for watching. Installing the Easysoft Limited Oracle ODBC Driver onto Linux

09:09
Installing the Easysoft Limited Oracle ODBC Driver on a non-Window platform We created a video where we do this install and get data back in 52 seconds (http://youtu.be/HDoVDcu5c3c), but we thought it would be worthwhile taking a more leisurely look at how to install our Oracle ODBC Driver on to a non Windows platform (this could be Linux, AIX or Solaris for example). Prerequisits: Activated Easysoft Account (Free) Downlaoded and extracted Oracle ODBC Driver (Free) A non Windows platform to install the Driver on, I'm using Linux Access to Oracle About 5 minutes of spare time to do the install (maximum amount of time needed). So you don't have to watch all the processes and because you'll have some of this set up anyway, I've downloaded the Oracle ODBC Driver onto my Linux box. I've also downloaded the Oracle Instant Client basic and SQL Plus, and these have already been set up. We recommend you simply accept the default locations. If you are installing as a non-root user or you wish to install in a non-default location then I've left a link in the summary below to explain what you need to do. Read : http://www.easysoft.com/support/kb/kb01009.html That will explain what to do if you are installing as a non-root user or you wish to install in a non-default location. During installation we will need your Name, Company Name, Email Address, Tel and Fax number. All these details help us to help you in case of a support call. We hope you can see from this video just how easy these Drivers are to install Easysoft Limited can help you with your data access ... for our full range of ODBC and JDBC Drivers, Bridges and Gateways visit http://www.easysoft.com Be sure to let us know if you have any comments or questions. Until next time, thanks again and we'll see you again soon.

Introduction to Oracle Listener

16:41
https://dbagenesis.com/p/oracle-11g-advanced-dba DBA Genesis provides all you need to build and manage effective Oracle technology learning. We designed DBA Genesis as a simple to use yet powerful online Oracle learning system for students. Each of our courses is taught by an expert instructor, and every course is available on demand. A listener is a separate process than your database processes which runs on the database server to accept incoming connections. Any client connection first lands on to database listener and then its handed over to the PMON process. All the databases running on a server must have their services registered with the listener or else listener will not be able to accept the incoming connections.

Configuring Integrated Extract and Integrated Replicat Using Oracle GoldenGate 12c on Linux

08:44
This demo show data capture using Integrated Extract and how to configure data delivery using Integrated Replicat. There is one Linux host running a 64 bit version of Linux (OL 6.x,) which runs the Oracle RDBMS 11gR2 (11.2.0.4). Two instances of the Oracle GoldenGate 12c software run on the same host, one which simulates the replication source and the second which simulates the replication target. The Oracle RDBMS instance opera contains three users/schemas: ◦ ogguser - Password: Welcome1. The Oracle GoldenGate user. This user has DBA privileges and its schema does not contain replication objects. Oracle GoldenGate uses this user to perform replication from the source schema to the target schema. ◦ oggsrc - . The replication source schema. This user only has connect and resource privileges and its schema defines all replication source objects. ◦ oggtrg - . The replication target schema.
