Today I rant about how YouTube decided to implement their new ad policy/guidelines at the start of 2018. The policy includes new requirements of 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours in watch time replacing the old requirement of 10,000 video views in total. Many small youtubers are frustrated at the fact that their videos will no longer be able to place advertisements on their videos and monetize their content. These small youtubers will loose their youtube partner/partnership or not even gain it at all. Lots of bigger youtubers are actually in favor of the new ad/partner policy.
