In this tutorial, Jennifer shows how you can use a location's latitude to determine how far north or south the location is from another location, measured in degrees of latitude. The same process can be used to calculate how far east or west a location is from another using longitude. One important reminder that is shown is how many minutes are in one degree of distance on a circle. Note 1: When measuring distance on a sphere, the unit of measurement is in degrees (shown in this video calculation). Note 2: Because the Earth is not a perfect circle, the distance represented by 1 degree changes depending where you are on the globe. If you are looking to convert the degrees measured to another unit, you will need to figure out if you are looking at a distance between latitude or longitude before converting them. It has been a while! More videos in production. Thank you for watching, and please subscribe, it will mean a great support to me and this channel. This uniform motion (problem 3) involves one object going from point A to point B; and returning from point B to point A--at different rates for go and return. Specifically, upstream and downstream, involving moving water (current). This problem is also called "distance rate time problem" or "uniform rate" problem. RECAP from the video: "A boat can go 10 miles upstream in 30 minutes. The return trip downstream takes only 20 minutes. What is the speed of the boat in still water and the speed of the current (in MPH)?" Solving Methods: System of Equations or Simultaneous Equations solved by methods of Elimination (or Addition) and Substitution. Special Note: Like the plane problems, a direct headwind or tailwind affects a plane the same way--as a current affects a boat. For example, a plane flying and have a direct headwind, [analogous to a boat moving upstream], it moves directly against the wind [analogous it moves against the current]. And a plane flying and have a direct tailwind [boat moving downstream], it moves directly with the wind [boat moves with the current]. • Follow me on these social media sites: My Poetry YouTube channel (you get to see me in person) http://www.youtube.com/tozzinpractice LinkedIn http://www.linkedin.com/pub/tozz-inpractice/b2/b21/330/en Instagram http://instagram.com/tozzinpractice/ Twitter http://twitter.com/tozzinpractice Pinterest http://www.pinterest.com/tozzinpractice Flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/

In this video you’ll learn how to focus at the hyperlocal distance, step by step. You surely know that when focusing at the hyperfocal distance, everything falling from half of this distance to infinity will be in focus. The hyperfocal distance is commonly used in landscape and night photography to maximize depth of field when shooting with a wide angle lens (10-35mm). Also, if you’re interested in learning more about hyperlocal distance and in taking the creative control over what’s in focus and out of focus in your photos to tell the story you want, make sure not to miss our detailed depth of field guide: http://www.photopills.com/articles/ultimate-guide-depth-field You’ll get: - All depth of field theory explained with examples. - More than 60 inspiring photos. - Free online calculators (dof, hyperlocal table, circle of confusion, diffraction, macro doc…) - Lot’s of fun while learning!

This is a quick and easy technique for Sony Alpha users to find the optimum Hyperfocal Distance when shooting landscape images. This technique will ensure maximum depth of field for sharp focus from the foreground to infinity. This technique will work for DSLR owners as well if they go into live view and then hold the depth of field preview button down. For Mirrorless users it is very much a case of WYSIWYG or what you see is what you get so there there no depth of field button required. The added advantage of Mirrorless users is that they can also preview the optimum focus distance through the EVF (electronic viewfinder) as well as on the LCD screen.
