I never saw the person like you! I am really amazed , how you explain a very complex topic in a very simple manner, just like a piece of cake.

Think this is correct: an Arrow Function is a special type of Anonymous function.

I never wanted to shift from Java to JS as truly speaking I am quite afraid of the front end. With no html and css knowledge I didn't want to learn JS and no JS so no Node. But now I am just going through some tutorials of html and css as I am so excited that I do have a chance at a full stack developer. So much waiting is not tolerable and I just bought the Git Workflow course to keep the ship sailing. !hoping for the course son. Thanks Brad. Cheers

Brad Brad Brad Brad! Things were going great, I was really enjoying watching these lessons, but now? I can't. I just can't. I mean, leaving out semicolons? What kind of monster are you? This is the end! (just kidding, these videos are excellent and I've pointed my wife at them since she's learning programming; keep up the great work!)

Hehe ....😂 I fell for it !! No regrets Brad .....never God bless you 🤗

This video really hit most of the pain points I had left and cleared a lot of them up, after these nine videos I feel I finally have a basic but pretty thorough foundational understanding of JavaScript that I can build on and that will make going deeper in the language a lot easier. Thanks a lot.

Brad, you're one of if not the best teacher over there in the entire web development community. You have that special ability to make any difficult topic, at first glance at least, so easy by your unique way of dissecting it. Congrats ! I wish you were my personal mentor. I'm definitely eager than ever the whole course is published to buy it not only for my own sake but also to encourage your teaching skills. God bless you

Hey Brad, at the last arrow function example (the one with the previous object example) I know you said no need to code with you at that point but I did it anyway, the result on the console is [object Object] is it supposed to do that or something is wrong? and yes I am the same person with the comment about "its after midnight", this one made from my laptop, the other one from my other account on mobile, but I subscribed on both accounts :D
LearnWebCode (7 months ago)
Hi, that's how the "john" object would be represented as a string. Is it possible you're logging it in combination with some string of text before or after it? Instead of simply logging "this" by itself?
Paul Brown (7 months ago)
9:03 personally im not a fan of taking arrow functions this stripped back, they make code so much harder to read, I'm all for the shorter syntax but its still needs to be readable.
LearnWebCode (7 months ago)
I'm the same way, I find the super stripped back syntax harder to read in general, and get frustrated when most tutorials out there use that syntax for every single example. I don't like sacrificing readability for extremely "minimal" code, but it's still a nice tool to have in our toolbox.
Paul Brown (7 months ago)
I wondered why u was always using named functions until now.. :)
LearnWebCode (7 months ago)
The main reason is I've found that beginners can get super confused early on by the anonymous function curly brackets being nested inside the parentheses of the higher-order function we're passing it into. The whole nesting of characters, especially characters they might not be super familiar with can be a recipe for disaster :) Hopefully by Day 9 we're safe :)
