Would you recommend this method over traditional liquid chlorine shock? You know there’s nothing like chlorine. On the other hand it is safer for home owners due to the fact they don’t have to use acid
Hey Manny. Great question. Unfortunately, I have only used this product once and since I made this video last year I've only done one other green pool to specifically make the video for the RipTide green pool bag. I treated it the conventional way with chlorine. I wish I had more help I can give but hope this does help a little bit.

That is amazing! Takes algaecide out of my wheelhouse
I've only used this one time but had great success with it.

I used this stuff and added 2pds of chlorbrite shock. And it only lighted a little bit. Gonna get a test kit later and test the water.
I’ve heard people have similar results. It seems it either does what it did to the pool in the video or similar to what you’re describing. Honestly, I haven’t done another green pool since because I give them away to a friend now. I wish you luck. I know they say the higher the pH the better. Was your pH 8.0+?

That is almost impossible to believe it's a miracle

Chlorine King Pool Service Would you do anything different had it been a cartridge filter as opposed to the sand filter?
It honestly blew me away Chris. Unfortunately, I haven't used it again because now I give my green pools away to my friend. Been stupid busy. If I get around to using it again I'll post the results in a follow up video.

Have you had continued success with this product?  Can you pour granulated cal-hypo into a vinyl liner pool like the bottle says or should you still dissolve it in a bucket first?
thatfriend (3 months ago)
Yes you can but only use it for a 1 time use with the cal hypo depending on the size of ur pool if ur vynal and under 10k use 1 2lb container and in total 3 bags of the cal hypo
Hey Darren, Unfortunately, I haven't used it again because now I give my green pools away to my friend. Been stupid busy. If I get around to using it again I'll post the results in a follow up video. You should be just fine with Cal Hypo. Remember, it has a PH of about 11-12 so it's not going to destroy your liner like di/trichlor would. They are very acidic and if they sit on your surface it could destroy the liner. Good luck!

Wow wasn't expecting that at all. Amazing. I wonder if it would really work that well in a pool full of debris tho? Have u tried it?
Yea it came out awesome and so quickly. Honestly, that pool was my last green pool. I'm so busy now I just refer it to one of my friends. Maybe when I get some free time I'll start doing more green pools. I've done tons of them but Green to Clean made that one simple.

Love using Green to Clean!!
Yea it really is awesome. I love it on very thick algae pools, ones that people think need an acid wash! Thanks for the comment!
