This is a very well-made tutorial. The pace is slow enough to follow but fast enough that it won't be boring. And I really appreciate that you added jokes here and there to make the learning process more interesting. Thanks for making these awesome videos!

I cannot stress enough how great your tutorials are. I am a technical guy, so I don't necessarily need simplification to this level, but let me tell you that I prefer this method of teaching over any other method, any day. This is a lot better than the average lesson, whether that was on YouTube or at school, where teachers assume that their audience are right there with them "automagically" every step of the way. I'm a huge fan of your holding people's hands the entire way method. It is the best method of teaching. It is how we were taught as children, and how we should continue to learn. It shows that you truly care about people actually learning what you're teaching. It also reflects on your character, that caring for others is part of who you are. I watch a lot of tutorials on YouTube, in fact I learned a lot more from YouTube than school, so I hope this gives my following statement more weight. You are the best technical teacher I have seen on YouTube. Thank you for your great quality and content.

One woman in Korea wrote awful comments online and had to go to court where she testified that her evil cat wrote all those messages.. Since then, people came up with so many jokes, parodies and craziest theories it could be true about that evil cat. Haha... since you're mentioning it here, I guess evil cat story is international and might as well be just true after all.

This is gonna change my life. Also, can you merge changes in a single file without going item by item, or is that a limitation which encourages multiple files in general? I was recently working on manually merging some code, but now I'm reconsidering so that I can theoretically work on the different files independently. Edit: My question was kinda answered later in the video...

I have a question: github hosts your repository so when your laptop blows up, you can restore those data from the host. Now do we always have to use some sort of host service to get our data when not using local laptop? More importantly, when you had the demo for cat_proof, where were you retrieving the repository from (from host service like github or from .ssh directory on local computer or generic 'git' handles something similar)? Thank you
Wira Andhika (2 years ago)
"the cat proof" demo was actually host on the local directory. i think he forgot to explain firstly you have to type git init to initialize the directory. so when you init the directory you will see a hidden folder name .git. there the git scm will know where is the local repo i assuming your question is whether user will be able to host repo while code offline, then yes you can. but just in case you or your team need to access the files at anyone machine then yes you should host the repo on host services
